This is the first game I've ever pre-ordered. I just can't pass up the possibility of getting it a day before release like my friend did with Skyrim.

I'm not sure if this is a parody of the PC elitist reaction to this game or an actual PC elitist reaction to this game.

WHY?! WHY!? Rockstar, won't you release a PC version along side the two dinosaur versions. Is a solid 60fps frame rate and true 1920×1080 support too much to ask for?

Ugh, I guess I'll have to get it on 360, since most my non-gaming friends are actually hyped to play this.

It seems like they're on point with music again. If the story lives up maybe I'll be able to forgive Rockstar fro GTAIV.

I know that's what people are saying, but I just don't believe it. I'm playing through Max Payne 3 right now with everything completely maxed on PC, and those trailers looks just as good, if not really close.

Then you're not looking at it right, there are plenty of noticeably low resolution textures all around, especially in the distance. It still looks great considering how huge the game seems to be, but it definitely doesn't look Max Payne 3 PC good.

Seems unlikely that it would, these (I'm guessing from the texture res) are PC trailers? If not, then god daaamn.. Rockstar must be using some tricks no one else has ever done in an open world game. If I was to guess, it'll look substantially worse.. Remember, 512mb ram on the 360 and PS3, and video ram is shared or some such(on 360 at least), the system doesn't really transfer directly over to what would make sense on a PC (512mb ram wouldn't even let you boot Windows 7) but yeah.. still 512 mb..

These videos kind of makes me wish they waited for next gen.. Because current gen gamer rigs are capable of running these level of graphics at 60fps with ease.... Unless Rockstar bones us with a horrible port again..

Nevertheless, graphics only matter the first hour anyways. Once you acclimate to the hotness you won't really notice it anymore when it comes to realistic looking worlds. The games that continually fill you with awe are those that are driven by spectacular art, Journey to use an example of a game I just played (wow, just wow.) Realistic graphics kinda work like expressionist paintings. Even if the graphics are kinda shoddy your mind fills in the blanks in a way. If that makes any sort of sense...

Anyways.. GTA 5!

Fucking outstanding trailer all the same. There are only so few series out there that can inspire such an awe and excitement from its trailers. Game looks great, too. I'm sure there's a lot concessions hidden away to help it (hopefully) run at the 30 frames. Probably going to be a buggy mess at launch as well. Though I do know it's most definitely going to be interesting in reading how people take to it, let alone actually playing this lil beauty myself.

Rockstar does the best trailers, their unconventional music choices and tight editing have been great since Grand Theft Auto 3.

I'm hyped but I'm not really sure I want to buy it until I'm sure it's not coming to next gen too. At this point I feel as though I'll shove it into my PS3 and it'll just explode or something

wow @the depressing commercial about the kid being hit by a car before a video of a game where all you do is run people over. Anyway, haven't really liked a Gta since vice city (wasn't digging all the blacksploitation in San andreas) and Gta IV was boring as hell. At least in this one it looks like you'll play a scum bag who mirrors your in game actions rather than another lost soul looking for redemption, who murders hookers on the side.

I haven't bought a console game in about a year, but I can't bring myself to wait for a PC version. Definitely going with The PS3 version for this, and damn, I cannot wait!

I'm really excited for this game but I'll miss the comments like "this game will suck on these scrub consoles I'll be here waiting for my figurative PC version while you guys enjoy top-class storytelling and gameplay at 30 FPS WTFFFFF BROOOOOO IS THAT EVEN A VIDEO GAME????!!!?!?!?!?!?." Or the conspiracy theories that Rockstar is totally lying about this being the PS3 version. Like what.

So ready for this. GTA/Red Dead, Elder Scrolls, Civilization, and the Souls series are the only games in these last 2 generations that after I beat them I consistently keep going back and playing. There is some kind of magic there that just keeps me coming back for more.

You know what? I think I won't watch this. I'm pretty much in blackout mode until game release. They sold me. Can't wait until the 17th. I just wish the PC had a release date.

EDIT: Who the hell am I kidding, WOW that was great. Was that a DSRV? Can we explore underwater now? Also: F/A-18s and mini guns NOW I REALLY CANT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!

I really wanna buy this on my slim PS3 and play it with my roommate all day lawng, but when I picture it in my head I see how shitty it's gonna be. Terrible graphics, FPS dipping, hours of loading time, and gamepad shooting with automatic aim assist ;(

The wait for the PC version will be something.

While I'd enjoy roaming around the city in GTA5, compared to the previous GTA games, this one is the first where the main people you wind up playing just don't look interesting at all to me. Just not caring for the character designs Rockstar went with for this.
