The way he pronounces "noir" makes me angry. Also, I don't see those presets adding anything, but I guess, good for them for putting them there?

Yeah I was just about to say that Vivid looks like what the old Sam games looked like palette-wise. Good thing there's the option I suppose.

If only more games had options like these, I could make Fear 2; a game that was way too colorful, more desaturated as is far more suiting of its bleak dark tone and stuff like GTA4 which was god damn horrifically brown and needed color desperately so a vivid setting would have done wonders.

Some dude just talked to me about the brightness and contrast settings in a videogame for almost three minutes.

I guess not. I'm also not spending the $40 they're asking for this game, so hopefully that sense of satisfaction is enough for them.

I wish more games had a vivid option, I'm a sucker for bright and colourful games.

I think it's actually pretty cool that they've included something like this. I'm not sure that it really needed to be a Rich Knuckles trailer, but good on them though for writing jokes about colour correction though =|

I can't see using anything but vivid for that classic Serious Sam feel, but it's nice of them to include the options.

Yeah, who hasn't played LA NOR, I mean nor films are so interesting to watch. I'm glad I can give SS3 a nor color scheme

I thought the video was funny. The jokes were quick enough not to be annoying if they were bad (but most weren't) and the videos main point was still clear. Love Croteam for all the options.

Croteam has probrably the best PR in the industry by far.

Oh and the game is amazing too :P

@Lazyaza: Dunno if you have the PC version of GTA4 or not, but on the PC they do come with the option to increase color saturation and such, and actually can make GTA4 look a lot like the previous GTA games in terms of colors.

I was wondering why the game didn't look quite right. Vivid is definitely more in line with the previous SS games, and thus the way to go.

I feel like they recruited the guys who did You Don't Know Jack onto their marketing team.

They should've done black and white with red only.

In all seriousness though, what was the point of this video and why is it on Giant Bomb? He was not funny. I do not think he could have picked a worse subject to try, and fail, to be funny about. The writing was especially poor. He acknowledged at the beginning of the video that he was saying "options" too much and then goes on to do it everywhere else with other phrases.

They should totally have a trailer about the advanced performance options in the game to show that these guys are one of the last few developers to give a shit about their PC fanbase.
