Here's Sesame Street: Once Upon a Monster

that fur looks great. my guess is image planes with physics applied to make em sway in relation to the character movement, wind etc

So stoked for this, but I'm refraining from telling my daughter, for fear of the next 8 months being a constant Q and A.

Looks better than most of the Kinect/Wii/PS Move games I've seen.

Ok, wow.. That looked like a Wii game. I mean, look at the graphics. Also - that doesn't look fun at all. 

I don't have kids yet. But if i did they wouldn't play this.......... 
They would be waiting for the Muppets kinect game where you help Kermit protect Miss Piggy and lead Gonzo and Rizzo through New York. YEAH!

Looks okay for kids....I guess. 
 
As a kid I was never interested in games that were "For Kids" though. 
 
That Tim Burton movie music at the start definitely doesn't feel Sesame Streetish.  Hopefully, it's just for the trailer.

I may end up renting this to check it out and get some more use out of my Kinect, but it definitely sounds like this may be a good game for younger children. Like an actual game that uses some sense and logic instead of throwing pretty colors and slow words at children to make them think they are learning something.

It's about time for some uniquely talented people to work on a kids title. 

Awesome.

I approve of this game, and I'll probably wind up recommending it to any parents buying Kinect for their kids. But I can't lie and say I'm interested in it for myself.

Provided I have a Kinect by the time this game comes out, I'm gonna play the fuck out of this game.

Soooo...is this a retail release or downloadable?

this game looks really good. i know a lot of people might dump on it for being a kid's game, but  i work in a daycare and i can imagine the kids i teach (about 3-5) absolutely loving this game.

I would actually try this if it weren't for two thing:
 
1. It's for Kinect.
2. It has Elmo in it. I can't freakin' stand Elmo. How about they replace him with Animal or something, man?

I think it's highly inappropriate that this game has a Team Deathmatch mode.

Said it before, I'll say it again.

My mother didnt like me watching Sesame Street because of the cookie monster.  i would try to eat like him. sometimes. She became afraid i may choke to death on my food... >.>  

I think the combination of Cookie Monster and Double Fine dialogue is brilliant.  Why didn't this happen sooner? 
 
Difficult to say what any of the gameplay will be like - being a Kinect title - although it's a fair bet that it probably won't really be all that good since it's designed for the kind of people who...  y'know...  watch Sesame Street?  Kids and stuff?
 
Whatever, though, because being taught things in a Double Fine video game by the frickin' Cookie Monster is a memory I wish I was able to have.

I like the text, but the gameplay doesn't look fun, even as a kids game. Also the animations and art style don't look that great to me, although I do like sesame street.

I'm sure someone else mentioned this but I was actually surprised when Theresa's voice didn't come over the music telling us about a 'hero'...

I was wondering about what was weird about the characters and then I noticed, they have legs.

I bet they destroy with this game. I bet they rape the market with a castrol-lubed soldering iron with this game. Or is that just wishful thinking.

The thing is - They're awesome at anything but gameplay, so people keep hoping that fix that hole. The problem is that gameplay is a pretty big part of game design. "

Looks pretty awesome.

Seriously a great idea, especially for Kinect with kids being such an important audience for the device.  
 
Credit to Double Fine, seems like a match made in heaven. 

The graphics look like shit, art style isn't appropriate for Sesame Street, and the gameplay looks like something you'd see on the iPad.
