I wasn't even aware they made a second one. The first one was pretty fun so this should be interesting.

Lego Indy vid, huh?  Well this video should be interesting.  Let's see what we have here......AAAAHHHH HAAAAAAIRRRR!!!!!

Lego Indy was ok, but I think it's biggest shortcoming was that the characters were, for the most part, interchangeable.  At least the Star Wars and Batman characters had some variety to them.

The changes they made are pretty smart though.  Split screen co-op is, by far and away, the best possible improvement that they could've made.  I used to want to kill the other player when they were off wandering around on the other side of the screen.

So, this editor thing is a great addition, but what about sharing custom levels?  Thats the feature that would give this game legs.  Imagine an in-game portal that allowed you to rank/review user created levels, you would have some pretty nice missions to play in no time.

I don't think their target audience is that which watches developer updates for games.

That's really smart that they are going with a Toejam and Earl Splitscreen style.

I don't think you need to be 10 to enjoy the games.  They're pretty simplistic and obviously intended for a younger audiance, but they're very unqiue and a lot of fun to play.  Especially if you have a friend to do co-op with.

The level editor doesn't look too bad. Just wondering how it will play out on Wii.

So am I. It bums me out that some developers tone down or even remove entirely the editing features of games on the Wii. I'm excited about this because I always enjoy games with user-createable content. I just like playing around with level editors seeing what I can come up with. I wonder how large the levels can be anyway?

Hmm, Lego Indy looks good for me only because of the level editor which I think will ultimately no work too good because of the level of interactivity they are giving you. I mean, Halo 3's Forge mode did it well but for something like this, I believe something akin to the traditional map editor style would be better.

I fail the see the point of this editor, when children (their parents, respectively) can go out and buy the real thing, you know, actual LEGO. Yes, I know it's crazy expensive these days, but given the choice, the real LEGO has much more pedagogical value.

I definitely agree, but I think you're understating the cost of Lego a tad.  It's still a fun game and only costs £30.  A decently sized Indiana Jones actual Lego set will cost you around £80.

Your saying that a toy and a game are the same thing.  If the editor is easy enough to use, kids can find out what is like to create something and see other people's reactions to their level. The level editor isn't planning on replacing legos completely, in fact it does something very different from the toys.
