How to Customize Characters in Brink

I would like to be able to make a lady character.

makes me want to set aside my spring break money for a gaming PC.

I like the artstyle, but the faces are terrible. 
 
I suppose we'd all be pissed off and fighting each other in organized combat, too, if we all looked like horse-men abominations.

So I can be a horse faced guy with some muscles or a horse faced guy with a lot of muscles? And I can pick between being covered in a shitload of tattoos or not covered in a shitload of tattoos? This told me absolutely nothing about the character creator, other than I am going to hate the way I fucking look.

I really dont like the character models...they just look weird to me. Hopefully the game is good though...

As for customization, there doesn't seem to be a whole lot, but certainly more than in other shooters. When he switched sides though, the differentiating factor between the two is shades? I'm sure I'm missing something here.

My girlfriend is upset, though, since she read that apparently you can't create female characters...? :O
If that really is true, then it's a HUGE negative point for the game... :(

Character customization is the new black. 
 
Brink's release is still so far off but I've got this one on my radar.  Mirror's Edge meets Waterworld meets something else... you insert your own game/influence.

Not bad at all, I'd say. It's not quite on par with APB's customization options, but Brink's definitely holding my interest.

Man this has become a day one buy for me.

I hope there are some sliders in this game to makes the characters look else... well British.
