pretty much, cause in the comics thats leading up to MKX, Scorpion is alive and well. as apparently Kenshi rescued him from Quan Chi and from the Netherealm.

Looks like they are finally getting better at female character designs. Outfits are still pretty hilarious though.

i see what your saying, but at some point though, like Scorpion for example, is sort of iconic, and Ed Boon has been asked numerous times on twitter about Kitana Returning. so you have to have some of the fan favorites in there, while adding new guys.

and i think for what its worth though, Boon has said they have no idea where do they go story wise after this game, so i imagine there's still some surprises in store.

Not just you. Injustice and MK9 had chunky people too. And everyone's faces in Injustice were weird in the nose-mouth area. It's not Netherrealms strongest side. I've got to say, the game looks great apart from that though.

I dont care how hype you are about this. Don't preorder it. Goro will eventually be released as a part of some sort of cheap DLC. Preordering, even if you trust the MK franchise, is something that fuels bad decisions and unfinished games being released. 2014 should be a lesson that preordering is the fastest way to be disappointed and pissed off about broken products shipping.

There might be time travel shenanigans at play. Or I guess alt dimensional versions, but yeah if you are going to get the shine for a good campaign story and some of that comes from not pulling any punches regarding sacred cows, then bringing several dead characters back seems a bit unambitious. Though maybe this is all commentary on the cyclical nature of Mortal Kombat as a whole (where characters can expect to die millions if not billions of times)

The action looks great, but I'm a bit disappointed by the graphical quality. Guess I'm being spoiled by today's standards of having physical based lighting and such.

I don't care how "awful" some people think the whole pre-ordering thing is I'm totally going to pre-order it as soon as its on PSN to do so. Get me some Goro son.

This game looks so hype, it's so weird how invested I've been in the MK storyline since MKDA it's shameful how much of my middle/highschool time was spent reading the MK comics on fan sites. I hope Shinnok and Tanya aren't relegated strictly to the MKX comic series, I loved how they dumped Hsu Hao in possibly shelved Kenshi while introducing his son who'll likely be in the game. I'm already calling Cassie Cage as my main even with Kung Lao and Kano back.

There's something about heads that are chopped off in a way that's not a clean beheading that disturbs me for some reason, like just a weird angle across the head... *shudders*

MK9 got pretty flippant with character deaths towards the end, with Sindel taking out half the cast it seemed. That kind of carnage (karnage?) could have been used well, but it fell pretty flat. I don't take MK seriously, per se, but I do think the story could be a bit more gripping while still keeping the cheesy larger-than-life charm it's so well known for.

I'm just trying to say they can bring back as many characters as they want, and I'm glad we won't be seeing a cyborg Sub-Zero... I hope.
