Anyone notice how desolate some of the areas are in comparison to Fallout 3? I mean sure it's a wasteland but if you look at the tent city or at 0:13 there is absolutely no rubble or ground clutter or random items anywhere.
It's as if some amateur just used the g.e.c.k. and just put down buildings and nothing else to make it feel lived in.

I don't see all the hype around this. FO3 was an awesome game, and they expanded on that awesome with DLC packs. New Vegas looks fucking identical to FO3. I don't see any difference at all. It's like having to pay £40 for a DLC pack that doesn't do anything. Hell, they're all the same models, textures, clothes etc. The guy's wearing a fucking vault suit. This trailer does nothing for me. I'm not gonna be buying this.

I've said this before a few times. The whole thing, every scene just doesn't look believable. It totaly feels from watching the videos that these places have just been made in an editor pretty amaturely with some NPCs spawned on top of it. It toally ruins any sense of people actualy living here. It's completely turned me off from this game which is a shame because some of the ideas are really appealing to me like the hardcore mode ect. "

I think that the desert could use a bit more foliage, but other than that the graphics look passable. And to me, this game has never been about the graphics anyway.

If it works like the dev diary says it does, it'll be one of the best political/morality systems in games.

Has anybody actualy wandered out into the destert now?  I live in CA, and there is a huge strech of oil fields around Taft that is abandoned except for the equipment.  One time we scoped out a mechine shop that still had the work schedule from December 6, 1941 in chalk on a board.  And honestly, it looks a lot like the New Vegas waists right now.
 
I say this because buildings that have been abandon for just 50 years, look like something that could have been there for hundreds.  Oh, and if you need more proof look up what chunk of New Orleans looks like right now.

Overall New Vegas looks about the same as 3, everything looks a little more separated though. 
 
I mean, it doesn't look like the people are walking on the ground, just a standard looking run animation over a floor texture. Quite jarring.

i don't understand why people love fallout 3/new vegas.  They're soooooo boring

The only problem I see with the game currently (and this is getting a bit picky), is the inclusion of modern day weapons like the M4. It slightly ruins the immersion for me. I know the game is in the future and all, but these weapons seem to stray away from from the futuristic 50's vibe that the rest of the game has.

They should've released the trailer long ago. This is what makes Fallout Fallout.

Well its good to hear its not gonna take the Oblivion approach to factions. Thats why Morrowind was better. You couldnt make everyone happy, so you had to play it several times to do everything.

They used it in this video.  Also basically they've tuned up FO3 the way mods did it on PC. Adding iron sights, customization to weapons and so on. "

I don't think the Bombcast ever did a Fallout Spoilercast; I hope they do it for this Vegas, just so that can go deep nerd in their discussion.

I thought I'd be willing to look past the similarities with Fallout 3 and sink another 50+ hours into New Vegas... but that looks a lot like Fallout 3.
