Banzi make a pretty good anime so I dont know why they wouldnt nail a JRPG. The Charcter models look soooooooooooooooooo poor though

The lip-synching in this is absolutely god-awful.  Although I guess this is translated, but even then if they were speaking japanese it would look fake.

Remember the argument about how anime people would look horrifying in real life? Well this is getting pretty close to it and indeed it is horrifying.

I think the first one wasnt too hot either.

I own thw first Magna Carta and the gameplay was so so. The main draw for it was it was drop dead gourgeous. One of the best looking PS2 games I can think of. This one looks kinda bland from a visual standpoint. If the gameplay is like the first then mehs all the way around on this one.

@Junpei: The PS2 game was actually the second game, despite this game's title. The first was a PC game released only in Korea.

What I remember from the first game was that it had the most androgenous males I've ever seen in a JRPG - I absolutely hate that aspect of JRPGS, hopefully theres more masculine males and femine females this time.  But yeah, picking this up either way unless the reviews are terrible.

I really don't like how the characters look in this game. Everyone looks weird. The king looks like a god damn hobo. Not sold.

If I had a nickel for every JRPG trailer that has a shot of some character down on their knees and screaming up at the sky with energy swirling everywhere... 

I'm interested, but is it me or are some of the garish costume designs in the current gen JRPGs starting to look a lot alike?  At first I felt like I was watching a trailer for Star Ocean or White Knight Chronicles.

It's from Korean developer Softmax. I'm not sure where you got the name Blueside, but that's an awesome name. :)
