Eagerly waiting for the GB follow up video discussing what this is all about.

That's Jeri Ryan as Sonja and I believe Jacks is played by Michael Jai White (he was in Dark Knight).   Their IMDB pages haven't been updated to show this so I'm not sure what to think.

Pure cheese. You can decorate it with fancy modern indy film tricks, but you can't take out the retarded silliness from Mortal Kombat.

That was pretty amazing. I'm actually hoping that its a game with FMV cutscenes like this. That would explain hiring these actors and the high quality production.

Everything accept the horrible retarded fight scene was pretty great.  Liked the design, costumes and style direction they are trying to achieve.  A surreal tournament reset inside a gritty true crime laced world.  That really breaths some humanity into their long time stale character profiles.  Hope its not a movie.  Since it would just be a ton of ridiculous Bourne inspired craptastic fighting.  All show and nothing real.  Like the Bourne movies or all the Bruce Lee crap.  
 
Man that fight was retarded.  Its like watching the X-men movies and just waiting for wolverine to use his claws.  Fight shouldn't have lasted more then a few seconds.  Fitting that they fake killed Johnny Cage.  I always hated him.  Then his soul escaped at the last second.  Damn...  Bastard nut puncher will never die!
 
The chick who plays Sonya looked familiar. She has never done anything worth a damn, but I remember her from something.  She is looking really old and weathered.  That forehead was like watching Mel Gibson smile.  Bad choose of actor.  Should have gotten someone sexy and with a decent knowledge of how to deliver a line.  Without mouth breathing all over it.
 
The guy playing "Jacks" was badass.  Would like to see more of that guy.   Acting wise, he is definitely a strong lead role. 
 
It seems like a game that will have live action cut scenes.  Keeping true to the MK style of using real life images.  Not a fan of fighting games, but I would take a look at this.  A little story can really go far.

This looks like a movie, not a video game. Then again, it's lookin pretty good, so hopefully it will be out by end of the year.

There is no way this is footage from a modern movie. When was the last time there was a fight seen as deliberate as that in a movie?   

Oh man, I hope this is a reboot and not another movie.

As someone who doesn't care much for Mortal Kombat, I was still genuinely excited by that whatever it was.

So well produced, and I actually thought the fight scene was badass, very inventive and not at all what I expected from anything with Mortal Kombat plastered all over it.

Wow, that was very surprisingly awesome. Really liking the super dark, gritty theme of it all, it sort of reminds me of the Condemned series in atmosphere.

This has to be a movie.  It does everything that screams "Movie", it has changed all the lore and modified it... and its got some cast members who are actual known actors.  Looks cool though, even if its not to the lore.

i think the previous mk movies were horrible and many parts are barely watchable, but that 7 minute trailer alone made up for all of it.
