NHL 10 Trailer: Refinements

Day 1 buy baby yeah!!!! the NHL series and the Littman crew did such a great job with NHL08 and 09, im getting this one for sure.

Those fight scenes are going to suck so hard.

I still can't figure out how to get up to date rosters on NHL 09. The Jackets are still using Pascal Leclaire in goal instead of Steve Mason, and in Be a Pro mode, the rosters are even more behind.

This should really be sold as an update to 09 for about $24.99. That would make a lot more sense to me than paying full price every year, because when you think about it, they don't really update the series that much from year to year.

I whole heartedly agree with you there Renegade. I think the EA franchises should look at adopting a paradigm near to Burnout Paradise and World of Warcraft. Reason being the graphic improvements are very very small at this point...and in fact some of them are non-existent. I don't completely remember who the player was, but the model looked like Orlando Bloom instead of the actual player. It was kinda ridiculous.. plus sports change every day, so why not(like the Live 365 feature) keep the online network pumping out information and just give us updates from year to year. I personally don't care if the characters look 10% better every year. I'd rather pay 30 bucks a year for updates, model creation, roster updates, controller updates, and an online networking system that finally works. Why not make an online fantasy hockey league built into the game and charge 5 bucks a pop and have a prize for the winner? I suppose that's illegal gamlbing...but Yahoo does it hahaAnyway...I think charging 60-70 bucks a year for some updates is pretty heavy. I agree with you Renegade whole heartedly. I traded 09 in about 3 months ago because I wanted more money for my trade in...meanwhile there was a bin of 5 year old sports games for 10 dollars each. Who wants to play NHL 2006 when theres no updates or online support anymore? Why not just reskin what works and make it all digitally updated for transaction points.Plus I want horse armor for Gustavsson in net. I'd pay 2.50 for that... hahahaha "
