Looks pretty fun even if it is just another horde mode.

Since it looks like I can play as a Krogan I'm pretty sure I will try this out at least once.

That actually looks rather entertaining, though I still find it odd how many publishers want multiplayer in games. I never imagined anything like this being added to Mass Effect when I first played it.

Absolutely unsubstantiated and I'm probably just projecting, but looking at the buzz around this game compared to ME2 before its release I get the feeling people are less excited about this third installment.

Yes, that's right. Bioware didn't want to turn it into a competitive multiplayer game - core of the series has always been the Shepard single-player story so this is just meant to support it.

I suspect that if this is well-received, the next entry in the franchise, if there is one, will have more multiplayer options. Testing the waters with co-op first.

So does Shepard send the team (players) out into these maps? If so, what if my Shepard has girly parts? Will the mission assignment look different for each player depending on what their ME3 Shepard looks like or will everyone get the same generic Bro-Shepard? Or, is that bit in the video just there for effect and it's not in the actual game?

All-in-all, it looks pretty entertaining but I'm still not much of an online multiplayer person these days. I have nothing against this, and hope it's as good as the trailer makes it out to be.

good job throwing in a preview of the speech from the end of the game bioware, also ahhh your guys will get to line up with sheperd at the end ahhhhh (I wonder if they let you customize armor or faces at all?)

Asari Vanguard? Oh hell yes :D I wasnt going to play the co op but being able to be an asari vanguard Biowre has won me.

Except for the fact that the generic soldier style class is the most overpowered class in just about every Bioware game since KOTOR. (can't speak for BG since I haven't played it)

I would totally buy this for PC if EA wasn't forcing Origin down my throat. There's no way in hell I will support Origin. In my mind, it's just as bad as Ubisoft's ridiculous uPlay and always online DRM. I don't believe in pirating games myself, even though it's very easy. It's almost certain that once again, pirates will have the best version of the game. Publishers will never learn, unless their name is CD Projekt Red. Shame cause I really wanted to play this. Oh well, I'd rather support publishers and developers that trust their customers and give them the best experience possible.

If those cutscenes with Shepard don't show your Shepard I will be extremely, EXTREMELY disappoint.

Clearly you've never considered that there are just as many abilities with each of the classes. I don't play soldier, but I get the appeal. And if you're really going to reduce it to just "SHOOT DUDES SHOOT DUDES SHOOT DUDES," you might as well go all the way and say all the classes are just "CLICK ON DUDES CLICK ON DUDES CLICK ON DUDES."

Some people you know, like the shooting mechanics in ME2 and 3...and soldiers get powers too.

@Skanker: Are you seriously going to make that argument? That is like saying anyone who plays a Fighter in D&D is "doing it wrong" because Wizards get SPELLS, yo! Having a bunch of powers is cool. Getting to use the full variety of guns is also cool. I played an Infiltrator in ME1 and ME2, but my most satisfying moments in combat were popping off headshots with my sniper rifle, not using my tech powers. To each their own -- if people are having fun shooting dudes in ME, why in the hell is that something to criticize them for?

I like this very much. I see some pretty nice moves there. Most anticipated game of 2012 :)

I would say something negative, but Meal Gear Solid 4 had a terrible multiplayer component too, and I loved that game.

How in the world could people play this RPG that uses third-person shooter combat mechanics as the shooter class! Those people are clearly inferior human beings! I heard that if you play as the Soldier, you don't even get to engage in conversation with NPCs, customize your gear, or even level up! It's like you're not playing an RPG at all!

The majority of ME players played as a soldier. It's messed up but true

Messed up? ME2 was barely an RPG anyway. It was a TPS with rpg-like elements.

Sorry Mass Effect 3 huge fan but I'll wait for a price drop in a couple months after release. Twisted Metal, SSX and the Vita launch are taking all my money.

Most exciting part of this video was seeing that the Vanguard Charge is back :D so excited to hurl myself at some poor fool.

I played as a soldier in my "perfect" paragon run of ME2. The adrenalin rush is really useful and fun and I liked being able to use all the weapons. Also, I feel like the most canonical Shepard would probably be a soldier class.

Not even being forced to install Origin has made me any less hyped for this game.

Sorry, but after ME2 the series is barely a RPG...its more of a TPS with some RPG elements!

...Okay, I admit it. This looks surprisingly cool. Just don't make a habit of this, game industry. ....Too late, I guess.

Why? I actually have both ME1 and ME2 on both 360 and PC, but that's just because ME2 PC was free when you bought DA2 and I found ME1 PC for next to nothing in a bargain bin.

I'm not all into the whole co-op survival stuff, but this actually looks damn cool and not like whatever it was I expected. It will be fun to try and hopefully Origin won't totally fuck up the experience.

The multiplayer still looks weird but I love the updated look of the game. I'm actually considering getting it on PC even if it has Origin attached because I would love to play that game at 60fps with everything cranked. PC will probably be a second purchase though because I need to see the end of the story for MY 2 Shepards first.
