Am I a terrible person for liking MW more than CS? The weapons in MW feels so much morerealistic and you actually need to ADS. I mean, I like CS and all. I used to play the HELL out of CSS. I think it's an apples and oranges case.

Man, Gary really has lost a lot of weight.

A casual mode where everyone has all the money they ever need so that every single player gets an AWP...
 
Just 10 seconds in that mode and your ears are going to be ringing from all of those going off at once.

I don´t know about this whole cross platform play.. the idea is sound, but controller against different input method is just bad. 
 
What I really like about consoles is the relatively even playing field when it comes to input devices. I´m against mixing different input methods, because obviously the guy on the pc will have a huge advantage, even to the point where he can do stuff that the guy on controller cant pull off.

for heavens sake ... I am as PC focused as it gets, but people like you make me feel ashamed of our platform. If the matchmaking works you won't even see any console players ... if not and you are as good as you seem to think you are you will get some easy kills.

Finally, I don't know who this is going to bring in from MW3/BF3 crowd. They are going to complain about the difficulty, learning curve, and no ADS or attachments or killstreaks. Which IMO is a godsend, I don't want those people getting up in my CS.

Brad, you ask really good questions.  I like that Chet just answers everything straight.  It's Valve.  That's what they do.  They're honest and to the point.  Except when they're being sneaky.

Textures look worse than CS:S. Nice going Valve.

This interviewee is the most humourless person i've ever seen.

Having played this, I can say:

This is a counterstrike-ass counterstrike game. I don't know if I'll switch from Source but it was nice to see even if this was with a controller.

Secondly, fuck playing this game with a controller, seriously. Even though I went absolutely perfect (most kills, no deaths) the control scheme is seriously fucked on consoles. I understand they did their best but there is just no way a controller is going to match a kb/m.

Keyboard and Mouse support on PS3.  That is all.

Think about it this way.  If you really are a hot-shot CS player who would dominate any controller user, then you wont ever be matched with any controller user, you wont ever see them, and it wont ever be a problem. 

@jay35: I've always enjoyed flying through the buy menu at a maddening speed to equip myself. In about two seconds you have all you need. Primary weapon, ammo, multiple grenades, armor and whatever else you might want.

I love CS. It's the closest I've ever been to an addiction with a video game. Watching this video makes me want to go play 1.6 again. I have nothing against CSS, I just think 1.6 feels better plus it's got that excellent nostalgia value for me. It'll be interesting to see if GO rekindles the CS fire inside me.

Also, I'm all for the cross platform play, like he said. It doesn't matter what you're using (as long as they don't hinder or assist any of the control types), if you're good you're good. Very cool that they're supporting keyboard and mouse on the PS3 too.

Whitta is my favourite part of this video.

The number one thing they can do to improve CS:S is to remove the need to bind a million things in a cfg file, especially buys. Provide CoD-style loadouts to configure in advance and choose from (if you have the cash, with cascading fallback options for each item of configuration).

I heard they are removing the server browser entirely and using TweetDeck to create matches.

is it just me or does the guy he's interviewing look either kind of buzzed or really tired. I'm thinking buzzed but that's just the negative side of me speaking haha

I like the fact that they are adding some new features but are keeping the gameplay very classic CS.

what they need is a counter strike where they can start screwing with the formula. add Iron Sights, add Respawns ect ect. i was kind of hoping the CSS beta would do something like that, but not so much.

im still in to de_dust you dont have to get me back in. Day 1 i bet on some servers console players wont be able to get on.

Defiantly getting this for PS3. I can play against my PC friends and still use mouse and keyboard. Also Brad continues to remind me that he is the best interviewer at Giantbomb.
