Adding three-Pokemon battles into the mix is pretty much just turning it into an SMT game.

I'm expecting the next pokemon series to be a squad based RTS at this rate, lol.

I like all the pixels.

I remember back in the day when it was one on one Pokemon battles.

Wow, those pokemon sprites do NOT look good up close.

Dude those weren't Pokemon.

The last pokemon game I played was gold, and let me say that this isn't fucking pokemon it's just absolute nonsense. It looks like a badly rendered acid trip, surely with all the new technology these games could be looking crisp and sharp at this point.
Also, 250 pokemon is fucking plenty, keep your ill conceived fire monkeys and get back to basics. Anyway I think it's clear that this game isn't aimed at me.

Looks like some actual meaningful changes coming in these games. Was that some sort of browser based app? Presumably trading, which would be crazy awesome.

The only Pokemon games I've ever played were Gold (the original) and Sapphire. Let me tell you something, this isn't Pokemon!

Now I'm a pokemon fan, I've got atleast one game from each generation. But they need to streamline the combat!, I've been replaying HG trying to evolve some pokemon but it's so damn slow. If they dont change the basics I don't see myself getting this, 3 on 3 does not seem like an improvement to me.

Animated sprites? Nice to see Pokemon is finally going beyond 8-bit game design.

Meaningful differences?!  Cutscenes?  Closeups of characters to make them feel more like real characters rather than little bugs?  Animated sprites?

3 on 3 battles are going to take 423957349857348957 years.  Whatever that PC thing they showed, awesome!

Starters always look lame the first time you see them. 
 
That said, 3v3 is pretty crazy.  They should quit toying around and just have 6 on 6 battles for total mayhem.

i LOVE the fact that they're trying to change the perspective....but this would have looked SO MUCH BETTER on the 3DS 
 
obviously the tech has been there for them to develop with, so why put it on the DS?
