I remember seeing this loooong ago on the front page, but judging from it's title I though it was some sort of promotional video for the new game and totally ignored this.

I'm so glad I gotten bored enough to randomly click through video feature page

Oh wow I should have looked at the description to this video closer, I thought it was just a trailer or something.

Dude how the hell did I miss this? Awesome discovery for me!

I actually tend to come back to this game, and frankly, I enjoy the original DS over Legends of Arrana. I can't play it for more then 3 or 4 hours at a time, but it still is unique in its own way. I had have it for a long time and I really enjoy the DS series, but their movement towards "consolization" kinda sent me away, oh well, rest in peace DS.

They were pretty average and forgettable when they first came out. Titan Quest holds up much better though.

I thought this was an actual sponsored retrospective video, I didn't know they'd be playing some old-fashioned DS! I used to play it all the time, and loved it - dat main theme is duh bomb! 
 
Come the fuck on, Vinny, it's been a decade, but tropes haven't changed: H is still for Health, and M is still for Mana! Quit that pausing bullshit! 
 
I love Quick Looks more than probably anything, so the more the better. I also like the idea of retrospectives, especially if they're for games I've played. I'm basically saying play more old games for QL's.

Dungeon Siege as a whole just looks boring, just makes me want to go play Titan's Quest.

The shadow textures in Dungeon Siege 1 looks almost the same as current Unreal Engine textures.

I really dug the 2 hours I played of DS 3 yesterday. Sure, it may be dumbed down. But it still seems pretty fun and you do have some choice with character abilities and such. Plus, loot!

Looking forward to more, even though I'm just playing with my buddy.

Very nice video guys. I played the first DS quite a bit and liked it at the time although it sort of had a tendency to play itself without needing much input. The second one seemed ok too but I never played more than the demo.

Obsidian is a really weird choice to develop the third one since in my opinion the DS franchise never was about characters or story at all. It is a pure action game with some RPG elements thrown in. I think the franchise so far has even less RPG depth than a Diablo or Titan Quest. Maybe I'll pick up DS3 later when its cheaper and see if the story saves it.

How can be people be disappointed that Obsidian at least tried to put actual combat in a game where you used to go 'click-click-click'? Whether they succeeded is obviously up for debate, and they obviously fucked up with KB/M, but I can't fathom preferring the old controls.

Out of these three, the third one looks the least interesting.

Vinny's traps rock. Got to say I watched this because of the 2 personalities, D.S., wellll....intersting the step advances in engines and concepts. I do remember that first logo though I never had a game w/it.

you can not judge the two earlier games for what they were especially when u make a quick look 9 and 6 years later of their release...Obsidian already admitted that the controls of the last one are not functional in the PC version and said they will fix this soon..the last game is obvious console game ported to PC and made by a completely different developer....You wonder why people have issues with last game...i wonder what was the point of this quick look ...!!!

I'm fine with Ryan and Vinny, especially Ryan, taking the piss out of the intro for DSII, because it is just straight up LOTR rip-off. But the fact that they carry over their mocking and dismissive attitude to DSIII, which has a much better intro, is really irritating. Ryan seems to just have an active disdain for fantasy. He should be banned from covering all fantasy games; he just can't take them even a little bit seriously. How is it that he can treat science fiction with respect but looks at fantasy as if it's dirt beneath his finger nails?

Honestly, and I can't believe I'm saying this because it sounds so stupid, but I actually find it offensive.

I'm a bit sad that I never played Dungeon Siege 1 and 2 when they were fresh, as they don't seem to have aged very well. I'll probably play them sometime, but I know won't enjoy them as much as I would have back in 2005 or so.

I'm glad you guys gave DS some time, I loved the first one. The second never really got me though... I was super excited for it but didn't get a copy till it was a bit old and rather dated graphically so eh... I hope I can enjoy DS3.

....where'd everyone go?  ;) Ah, who am I kidding -- even I don't play the PSP, and I have one. That hardware is terrible. Still, I remember a game called Dungeon Siege: Throne of Agony.

Tried the demo for DS2 years ago, but almost fell asleep half an hour in. Needless to say, I didn't like it too much. Still don't.

I love how III has far fewer options than the game wot came out in '02.
