The analogy would fit better if it were something along the lines of "you're like the person who tells a guy who tells a guy he's fat everyday, because (OF COURSE) he'll start losing etc., that he's an asshole".

This is the guy who talks proudly of trolling friends and strangers. There are valid reasons to dislike that. Tell me the rest of staff approves and I will tell you to cherish that hero worship.

Well, that was the best 3:15 of my life. It will never get better. I'm both elated and depressed.

Holy fuck, everybody shut the fuck up about Patrick. He's a part of Giant Bomb now, get used to it.

The interview was good. Both Ryan and Patrick did really well. I've done assessments with interpreters and it's really, really hard to not make it feel awkward. I imagine there was some editing here but that said it looked really well done, the questions were good, and so on. If you're going to bitch about Patrick or anyone else on staff bitch when there's a reason for it. There's nothing in this video that warrants complaining. Grew up dudes.

Yes, you've just illustrated the point that Atwa was trying to make. Thanks guys for having Swery over for a cup of coffee!! I saw on his Twitter he was coming to SF so I'd hoped you would. I don't have a 360, so I've been waiting almost 3 years for this game. And thanks to the Endurance Runs, I know what I'm in for. It also made me watch Twin Peaks for the first time, what higher praise can you give?

Hope that they're embarrassed? I didn't even watch this video or read any of these comments until the hoo-hah was all over and I'm fucking embarrassed. I feel like I did something wrong and I generally like the entire editorial staff as plain old dudes (even when I don't like or agree with some of their content, which doesn't happen all the time or anything).

I thought maybe the comments were just never addressed, but after I raised this in another thread tonight, it was explained that the comments which are just mean and not constructive actually are handled. It is unfathomable how much crap that means there must be if we're just seeing the garbage that still is left behind or that is in the limbo between being posted and finally processed. I am hesitant to ask for an opportunity to ever see what the feed of comments around here would look like in an unfiltered state.

I feel almost obligated to, like, do something. I wish there was something I could do. I'm as old as these guys and would genuinely love a way to collectively reinforce the community's appreciation for the work they do. Even though you know on an intellectual level that the bullshit is just coming from a vocal minority, it's that loud minority that fucks your shit up and sticks in your head. If there was some sort of a money-button that we could just keep hitting that kept giving dollars of appreciation (other than just a plain old subscription, which I already have for years ahead), then I would hit the shit out of it.

You never want to see that. When shit like this goes on and it's on the live chat, oh man, just don't read the chat because the comments from that minority are just cruel and uncalled for. To give you a taste, one guy brought up Patrick's deceased father by @ ing him on the chat. Pretty horrible shit that I wish I never saw.

Awesome to see swery back in the office, dude is fantastic, great interview always nice to see games that deserve it get a bit of time in the spotlight, After watching this i went to google to see if there was any news on a pc version and bloody amazon UK had the PS3 version listed under the wrong header so it showed up and I got so excited.

Only thing i can find is that rising star would need a backer to bring the game over and i hope that happens since my xbox is broke and i dont have a PS3

Despite seeing Giant Bomb's last interview with SWERY, I don't remember noticing the facial tics he has while talking which I think is fascinating. Such a stand-up and fun guy. Glad to see some positivity and interaction from a Japanese developer with the Western audience.
