Like was said a few pages back, this is actually a collection of clips from the official site designed to show off the new profession's skills. It's not supposed to have been released without context, it was leaked, but the developers haven't bothered to stop anyone from seeing it (probably because they know it'll get out anyway).

Looks great! My class will be Guardian though, but it will not hurt to try the mesmer!

What embargo are they breaking? They aren't the ones who leaked it. The information is out there now. Whether GB reports it or not has little bearing on the matter.

The Guild Wars 2 Twitter page basically green lit anyone to spread it after it leaked. They know there's not a lot they can do besides roll with it. It's also at least the third time this has happened with their profession reveals, so I imagine it isn't exactly all that shocking this time around.

Assuming this isn't just some weird PR stunt (which would at least seem out of character for their company), I feel a little bad for them, but I mean...it's the third time now. Three leaks out of eight isn't exactly a hot record on keeping things under wraps. I get the feeling they aren't all that overly concerned about it. God knows they manage to keep virtually all other information on the game hush hush until they're damn good and ready.

They are video clips of individual skills that are meant to be released alongside a brief introduction to the class. Here's an example: http://www.guildwars2.com/en/the-game/professions/engineer/

They aren't really meant to showcase the game as a whole. There are plenty of other videos for that.

@AngryRedPlumber: Depending on your spec, I have managed to run the beta on a 2.4ghz i5 intel with a Intel HD3000 graphics card, wasnt exactly insane detail but it ran at 30fps nicely.

What? NO. That is incorrect.

@bunnymud: It's a fairly natural thing if you have some NCsoft experience with the constant lack of support and how their games look.

And for the game, I hope it's not like this, running around one shooting things, thought we had enough of these MMO types, looks so much more standard MMO then GW1. Which I did enjoy a lot.

For all the amazing stuff they're showing and talking about, it's all just icing on the cake. As long as I get to play in that beautiful world of theirs again then I'm happy.

Some of these character designs look a bit too "Final Fantasy" for my liking - the stupid little furry, the guy with the oversized sword.

If it's ANYTHING like the first one it'll be a fun time all around.

Loved Guild Wars, and this game is still looking great, but why couldn't they have fixed the dumb looking run animations on most of the characters? It's been a while, NCSoft...

The mesmer is such a trickster. Looks like an advanced class for players who love executing on elaborate schemes to win. Should be outstandingly awesome for PvP.

I'm stoked! I loved the first one and the 2nd one is shaping up to be amazing. Not only that but they finally got around to showing off my favorite profession, and I can say myself that I'm really happy with what they've done ( two handed sword seams odd) Now just need this game to come out!

That does not at all contradict what I said.

My mesmer loving friend is going to enjoy this.

I like how the mesmers in the video all seem able to pretty much one shot these enemies, but instead of doing that they decide to use mesmer abilities to screw with them first. Mesmers = sadists

Loving every piece of this game.

The sound design is great.

They just use weak enemies for the purpose of the skill videos. There's no one shotting going on in Guild Wars 2, not even with high level characters in low level areas, since their power is scaled down.

If anything else this game has amazing sound design.

That Sylvari around the two minute mark instantly reminded me of Kuja from FFIX.

I used to really look forward to this game. Now I'm less certain.

I just realized that this video totally contains bullets with butterfly wings.

It will probably be a pain in the ass to be a mesmer early on in the game. The veterans will need some time to accept that mesmers aren't completely useless in PvE anymore.

They've actually been rather useful in PvE for quite a while now. I pretty much always take at least one mesmer for 7-hero vanquishing. It's partly a matter of picking skills that the AI isn't completely stupid with, and also making sure they are set up to pretty much never run out of energy (which I try to do with most classes for the AI, really).

I often see people specifically requesting Panic mesmers for some areas. I'm mostly talking about hard mode, though.

Ok Mesmers look like they got a nice workover. Funny, I'm watching this video thinking....oh yeah that skill would be good for pvp, oh and that one would be great for a runner, oooo and that one, well that is just plain cool. Yeah I'm ready to play around with some GuildWars builds again. :) N/Me...Me/E, etc. Oh yeah

I hate traditional MMOs but can't wait for this to come out. The art style is fantastic

i only like mesmers when they are dressed class and have ele as a secondary class. was a big pvp guy in gw1, fastcasting on mesmer with some good CC spells from ele was super good in 8v8 games. icy shackles forever.

I like the ridiculous rate of fire on the guns and bows.

I want real gameplay! I want to see skill bars!
