Here's what would make this game worlds better:
A sprint button, realistic head-bob and motion sway, enemies that don't make me feel like I'm just shooting animals.

That last one is the biggest problem for me. I felt like I was just shooting monsters or animals in Bioshock. The splicers were way too small, took way too much damage, and were just plain unrealistic. And don't reply to this, saying that "it wasn't supposed to be "realistic." No shit. I'm just saying that they didn't do a good job making those enemies likable. They were just annoying. Every single one of them.

Put aside your natural pessimism towards this comment, and think for a moment what the game would feel like if it had decent controls and modern gameplay mechanics. Imagine the controls and AI of something like Call of Duty or Battlefield (sigh... and no, I'm not a fanboy of those games. I've never even played Battlefield, besides the demo, and only played Call of Duty for a week - at the most.)

Besides... it's not like I'm asking for really realistic controls in this game, just modern, functional ones. "
You might be the only person to complain about the controls of Bioshock, considering that there are a lot of things your character needs to do at a given time.

And also.. it's a 10 min demo, chill out.

Cool cutscenes are cool cutscenes, but Bioshock will always be Bioshock... and I just don't enjoy playing Bioshock games.

I really like the back and forth banter between the main character and Elizabeth.

It definitely looks beautiful and they are embracing that outdoor setting. Irrational gots an eye for detail.

That looked awesome, but I don't see how in the hell you could be playing most of that.  But the setting and potential combat innovations looked GREAT, even if they're only half of what you see here.

Love the hyper-nationalist/religious/xenophobic America.  Like something out of "The Plot Against America" or "It Can't Happen Here," though I imagine that's going to be controversial or people will read commentary into it that isn't there.

Well that was incredible, I just hope the rest of the game plays like that. It's good to see other normal people instead of just wandering around in the dark on your own for 10minutes, then killing splices, then walking again.

Wow... I kind of want to avoid all other videos for this game to just keep all the surprise when I pick this up. I think this trailer alone confirmed a purchase for me at least.

" Ok, this is a nitpick and I'm not saying the game won't be great, but can anyone look at that floating building and think for a second that it wouldn't fall like a rock?  Have you seen a hot air balloon?  The bag part which provides lift has to have WAY more volume than the basket it's actually lifting.  Those 4 measly little blimp things holding up that giant building is exactly as crazy as if Rapture had screen doors. Not even touching on the fact that it's obviously top heavy. Definitely more form than function in this game's design, not that that's a horrible thing. Just makes me laugh. "
Steampunk. That is my answer to your comment. Its a video game.

Also its overly scripted..but it looks great.

@FunExplosions: I'm not too worried about the controls. Infinite is based on UE3 which I actually like while I dislike UE2 which BioShock was based on. About the monsters, yeah I agree that splicers and big daddies weren't fun but to be fair I rarely find any AI opponent particularly fun to kill.

Didn't buy Bioshock 2 because, well... although it got good reviews, it felt like the obligatory sequell that didn't add anything new. This, however, totally enveloped me! Can't frickin' wait!

Why is it that I got the feeling that this was nothing but a very long quick time event?
I hope the hell that you have freedom to actually explore and not just go with the events, cos it
seemed like he had no actions of his own after he took that rifle, no tactics in the combat except
using of those redonkulously overpowered powers.
On top of that, it was way too shiny. I want some damn dirt in my steampunk, thank you very much.

The combat still looks very Bioshock-ish, but it'll do because the story of this game looks VERY promising and interesting.

I'm not at all that excited. The art direction and setting are pretty phenomenal and impressed me quite a bit, but I'm just expecting the same tedious, unsatisfying combat mechanics from the first Bioshock in with a very heavy-handed allegory for today's hot political topics. I really liked the whole twist in the first Bioshock game, but the whole Randian philosophical overtones were just obnoxious and hard to ignore. I respect that they're trying to use smart writing, but I just didn't find it that good in the first game.

If video gamers are good at one thing, it's wild speculation. How do you know that Bioshock Infinite won't have a sprint button, realistic head-bob, motion sway, and "functional controls", based on a ten minute trailer for a game you haven't even played, that's slated for release in two years? Oh, that's right, you don't.

I was a little worried at the intro, with the squeaky metal clangs.  I thought Booker was a Big Daddy.

Whew!
