These guys are f^cking idiots.  I'm sorry, but it has to be said.

You can't spend all this time talking about story, when you completely neuter the ending to your first game.  You killed Starkiller.  You guys decided that this was his end.  So grow some balls and stick to your decision.

Otherwise, stop pretending like you give a flying f^ck about story.  Bunch of hacks.

Okay to all the people complaining about the name Starkiller, it's a freaking codename, his real name is Galen Marek, although it would help if it was mentioned in the game some more or by the developers

Anywho, looking forward to see if this game turns out to be good, really liked the first one

""We give him a name in this one." They call him "Starkiller" a hell of a lot in the first game. Did that designer not actually play the game he supposedly worked on?"

Lucasart fired most of the team behind the first one. So, my guess is: no.

I am not convinced about this game. The first one was actually pretty decent as an action/adventure game and had a Star Wars story that mostly makes sense (for a change). But, to continue the story after the endig of the first one, to clone Starkiller, to include Yoda and Bobba Fett... Its like they are not even trying.

I love the way they keep preaching it as a "new" story when they've just lifted half of The Empire Strikes Back scene by scene. Starkiller travels to Dagobah, check. Meets Yoda without realising who he is, check. Has a vision about his destiny in the mysterious cave, check. Has someone he cares about taken by Boba Fett, check...

Although I am oddly looking forward to playing it, I just wish they would have stuck to their guns and kept the story how it ended in the first game. Plus, this one doesn't even make sense. Why the fuck would Vader keep using Starkiller clones when the original version near enough destroyed him? Why would they even have Starkiller clones in the first place?

@Death_Unicorn: I feel the same way.

Boba Fett hunting Han & Leia/Boba Fett hunting Juno Eclipse.

Luke goes to Dagobah/Starkiller goes to Dagobah.

Boba Fett drifts amongst garbage to follow the Falcon/Boba Fett drifts amongst battle wreckage to follow Starkiller.

Really not buying the hype this time..  The first game had a good story, but really dire gameplay.  The second seems to be more of the same, they're focusing on the wrong areas and completely missed the aspects that originally drew people to the first.  The story also seems very convoluted and totally unbelievable in the SW timline, so it doesn't even have that going for it..

The fact the lead producer has quit, and plans for TFU 3 have been cancelled doesn't bode well for the quality of the game either.  They clearly have little faith in this game.

...or you know, the fact that Luke was going to be named Luke Starkiller before 20th century Fox got it changed.

@TomA:

Listen to me, TomA, the reason I'm excited for this game is because I was a fan of Force Unleashed 1.  I admit the gameplay was flawed, but enjoyable, but the story was what motivated me to play the game.  The sequel so far is already looking better, in terms of gameplay.  Besides, you get to use two lightsabers, instead of one.  The lightsaber in the first game felt like an electrified baseball bat.  In this one, you will get to dismember stormtroopers, which clearly show that the developers are thoroughly trying to make the lightsabers more deadly.  Also, Starkiller gets to meet Yoda on Dagobah.  How cool is that?

I hope that convinces you why I am excited about Force Unleashed II.  And before you ask, no, I am not part of the LucasArts staff.
