The Witcher Console Trailer

I'd totally play through The Witcher again for better stability, achievement points, and new content. F-yeah!

The Witcher was definitely an ambitious project, all though I wish it were more polished on the PC. All though I heard the re-release fixed a bunch of the bugs.

My computer cost around $800 and it can barely run Halo 1 PC, even with all the specs turned down low which is ridiculous. So I'm glad my $300 Xbox 360 will allow me to play this game. I was interested in the other ones. Now I can finally play it.

I'm not here to say PC gaming is a dying breed like all the other forum trolls, but come on, If I purchase a $800 PC by now and it can't run a 7 year old game then actually yes, I would say PC Gaming is slowly dying.

It's just way too expensive, and with the economy as it is, it's really not an option any more. Look, find me a $500 PC that can run a game such as Call of Duty 4 and you may have me and all the other gamers that have jumped the PC's ship. Because until then, I'll be playing the same triple A games that you play with a smooth frame rate and for a sweet-sweet price of $300.

Some of you hardcore PC players will say that console game play is too slow. Well what if Microsoft were to allow you to use a keyboard and mouse in-game. Would you still feel so passionately about PC gaming?

Yeah, they would announce this the day I go and pick it up for the PC.

i didnt get the pc version because i dont want fucking drm on my machine. so this is cool. better have the naked porno titty cards though.

The trailer looks more like a LARPer camping.

On a serious note, I've been hoping a port of the game would happen.  While the date is a bit far off, and will most likely be delayed, I can now enjoy the game without the inane controls and sys reqs the PC had.

I'd love to play the witcher actually.  It wasn't really worth playing on my low-spec PC with all the bugs and stuff.

I was interested in the PC version when it came out but after I heard how buggy and all that it was I passed, I'd be willing to give it another go.

I know I shouldn't judge a game by it's cover, but that totally rocked.

Also anyone else recognize the body movement of the guy they motion captured? I think it might be Richard Ryan ( the guy on one of the Fable videos, the fight expert who came in to demonstrate ). I think it's him.

I'm just here to echo the sentiment of everyone else with a shitty PC that couldn't play the game, despite wanting to, and how I'm excited at the idea of playing it on a console.

I got it from a guy called Wal-Mart. The sad thing is I should be able to walk into store and every computer there above $500 should be able to run a game that can be played on PS3 or Xbox 360, im sorry but that's the way it should be. Im all for PC gaming but its a f-ing scam

The Witcher rocks!  The book isn't bad either.

Definitely a buy for me, The Witcher is a fantastic RPG.  

Edit: a computer does a lot more than play games, some of you seem to take pc pricing out of context.
a computer that costs near the same as a gaming console does not NEED to be able to run the same games, that makes no sense.

@Trojan_Impala - Because you're a dumbass who bought an overpriced PC from Wal-Mart (of all fucking places) means it's dying or a scam? Research what you're purchasing next time.. that goes for all products.

If you buy a 800 dollar PC that can't run Halo you are doing it WRONG. 800$ will get you a PC that will run Crysis on high settings easily. I don't know what to tell you, you should research what you buy.

This just convinced me to pick up the PC version.

I'd put The Witcher in my Top 5 games of all time, no question.  Excellent story, excellent universe and solid combat (for an rpg). 

Will it be well received by your mass-market console gamer?  I'm not convinced it will be.  This leads me to worry that they may do something rash like turn it into a sub-par hack n' slash mess that loosely keeps the story of the PC version.  Please tell me this won't happen.

Awesome news.  I really wanted to play the original when it came out on PC but my computer had no hope of running it.

That was sweet. However, the dude had some strange nips.

Looks cool, but the CG is quite misleading. Gives me a feeling that the actual gameplay isn't quite good enough to be shown in the trailer.

@Trojan_Impala - Maybe instead of being an idiot and buying a computer from WalMart, you could be like the rest of us that play PC games and either be smart and go somewhere where the employees actually know how to use a computer or be even smarter by going somewhere like NCIX.com and buy the parts seperately. For about $800 i could build myself a computer that could play crysis on high settings. PC gaming isn't dying. It's just people don't know where to get a decent computer without getting ripped off like you.

I'll be getting this for the PC.  Right after I finish NWN.. or even sometime before.

I got a thing about getting collector's (enhanced) editions.  And the enhanced edition is so affordable.  I'm hoping I'm getting decent money for Christmas..  Although I'll prolly just get gift cards.

Seeing this more than a year after the release of The Witcher 3 is pretty awesome. Crazy how far they have come.
