This Latest Deadpool Trailer Is Just Exhausting

I have no experience with Deadpool beyond that terrible Ryan Reynolds... thing in X-Men Origins, so I don't really care about the integrity of the character, but still, this game looks miserable: bad joke, bad joke, annoying voice acting, generic action, bad joke, trying too hard, bad joke, generic action, turret sequence, bad joke, bad joke, end of trailer. I have no idea what was supposed to be appealing about any of that.

Still, Deadpool was at his finest whenever the sadness of his clownhood peaked out. I hope this game has something more going on than "random humor" for him.

The knee-jerk hate for this game (based off of a trailer) is crazy. I don't know if it is the community's love of hating or followers of the heavy handed snark headlines of Alex Navarro, but good grief. I feel sorry for High Moon for having to re-create a popular comic book character. Getting this in-game Deadpool to match what is in every fan's mind has to be an impossible task. Heap on top of that pressure, the fact that Deadpool is a pretty divisive character anyway. Personally, it seems they are playing him up as an obnoxious nut and that's always the impression I've gotten from him. Maybe the game will suck. Maybe it will be great. I don't know, but I'm willing to wait and see more than a few minutes of strung together one-liners.

Deadpool is a character that sounds good on paper, but alot of what I've seen of Deadpool in comics and video games is way too manic for my liking.

Seems cool, but his voice just doesn't seem to fit.

I enjoyed Deadpool in the Ultimate Alliance games, and that's about the extent of my exposure to the character. A Deadpool game could work... but this game is clearly shovelware, like most Marvel licensed games. This looks uninspired and ugly.

As much as I love Nolan and Deadpool is my favorite hero... I'm going to be very wary of this game. I want to look forward to it but in he end it's a Comic Book game and these almost never end well.

Capcom did it better, but this trailer didn't seem that bad to me.

"Sayonara Bitches" is like "Konichiwa Bitches" from Chappelle's Show but they flipped it to "goodbye" from the original "hello", translated respectively from their native Japanese. That sketch is 10 years old. Furthermore, "bitches" was spoken with additional flowery affectations extending the "i" with an added "a" to sound like "beeyatches", popularized by Snoop Dogg and Too Short twenty fucking years ago.

Since I'm not a cynical jackass, I thought the trailer was rather entertaining.

They should have got the guy that does the 'I'm A Marvel & I'm a DC' Youtube videos to voice him. He nails Deadpool for me.

I think they are doing a good job portraying who deadpool is (bat shit crazy, random ass goof), I'm just mad skeptical about the gameplay and the game. I don't think it will be better than your average spiderman game and like no where near as good as the recent Batman games. Plus I don't see it being longer than 4-6 hours which might not justify $60 tag in this market for most people. Hardcore comic fans who know a lot of the in jokes might love it for the fan service though. I mean when I saw Cable and the mention of Cable's Man-Bazookas was enough for me to get on board, but for the average person.... I'm not sure.

Also, I wish this was the game based on the new Deadpool comic where he is fighting Zombie Presidents. It is so awesome on so many different levels.

Well it's what I'd expect from a Deadpool game, still not sure if I'll buy it on day1 but I'll play it.

So has anyone actually seen this game running? Little worried that it's a few months before release and all we've seen are trailers.

While it's easy to see this being a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" kind of situation with varied audiences for both comics and video games, I have to give High Moon Studios a lot of praise for even taking a swing at making a Deadpool game.

I just don't like the trailer, you're the one calling people out for having opinions different from your own.

I guess I enjoy a certain restraint in my humour, and where Deadpool at his best is self-aware and totally disconnected from his situation, this comes off as crude and obnoxious in the most lazy way possible. "WOAH MAN BOOBS HAHA BEYATCHES BAZINGA". For reference; talking about the trailer, not making presumptions on the game.

Daniel Way is and always has been a terrible Deadpool writer. More LOL RANDOM than having any thought put into it. Give me Gail Simone, Joe Kelly, or Fabian Nicieza any day. I haven't been able to read a Deadpool book regularly since they put Way in charge of it forever.

While I have no plan to buy this game, and can't really say exactly what the game is other than maybe a third person game, I thought the trailer was funny, though I can see why some would find it annoying. I also don't want to hear more Nolan North unless it's Nathan Drake. No disrespect to him, but it's just too much.

So, on the one hand we have gamers upset that their passion isn't taken seriously by those outside of the culture, or that video games are blamed for violent and puerile behavior by the media, or that people like Roger Ebert say they'll never be art and are a waste of time. On the other hand, we have this trailer which has a tittering woman with bouncing breasts holding up a placard that says "I love DP." Something's gotta give, folks.

As a guy who has read far to many Dead Pool comics I couldn't have said it better myself.

Exactly. I don't think the trailer's half bad. Annoying and nuts enough, pretty good visuals (except for that banana..). I'm just worried the gameplay is not going to be any interesting, as well as that there will be way too many random-ass remarks on repeat throughout the game. Deadpool is not really a character that is fit for a game. I think a movie suits him better.

I hope Cable has more than a cameo. If this is on par with stuff like Lolipop Chainsaw / Shadows of the Damned in terms of gameplay I'm on board. Not going in expecting the next Ninja Gaiden Black here.

Authenticity Cry Babies cool your heels, Marvel never sticks to its guns with its "Comic History". So with that being said, The F****** trailer looks fine and the game play "looks" awesome.
