@MikeRD: Alrighty we'll find out before long I guess. A lone tweet from Nick Chester isn't enough to convince me in the face of a legion of Irrational Games fans who actually played Thief. But on the other hand it's an awfully long time between the first PR demos and the final game. There's really no reason they can't have used both gentlemen in that time span. Wheatley's VOA was just a temp, and that was an unexpected shitstorm. No surprise other studios might play close to the vest for a beloved franchise.

Still trying to figure out what the hell Morgan Webb was talking about last week during their best of E3 show. That is a great improvement on the Elizabeth character.

Oh, yeah, I mean who knows, that voice could totally be a placeholder for that demo, so all bets are off until they release a trailer closer to release, but I'm still maintaining that this one was Troy Baker, even if the final product says otherwise. :p

Edit: Upon further review, it seems like Stephen Russell was the VA in the first extensive trailer back in September of last year. Or at least these people here were sure of it.

However, if you compare the old trailer to this trailer, you can definitely tell that the two voices are miles apart. Though there isn't a ton of dialogue, you can hear enough of the first voice here. Also, compare the latest trailer to Troy Baker talking here, and all doubt should be eliminated.

For what it's worth though, I much preferred Stephen Russell's voice to the new one. I don't have anything against Troy Baker, but he's had plenty of roles in games of I've played, is somewhat overexposed, and I really liked what I heard from Russell.

The art style is just breathtaking! As to be the most anticipated game of 2012.

I just had the best idea. Imagine that in Bioshock Infinite you visit Rapture. Here's how I see it. Elizabeth is having to use her powers to do something with water(IDK what exactly). She loses control as she does with the horse in the trailer and you get teleported into the ocean outside Rapture. For the first few seconds you get the slow pan of the underwater vista with some the opening Bioshock music playing. Then your character suddenly starts flailing and you realize your drowning in the ocean. You see the arms flailing in front of you and your vision starts to blur. You see Elizabeth panic and then right before you faint your head tilts and you see a big daddy and little sister walking down one of the underwater hallways. The screen goes black for a couple seconds before you wake up coughing back in Columbia. If they did something like that I would Nerdgasm so hard.

Problem is the time periods. Infinite takes place well before Rapture has been made IIRC

@Lazy0718:

If this game comes out next Christmas, will it be overshadowed by the new consoles? I'm assuming we'll see the next Xbox system at least by next year. I'd hate for the game to be unfairly overlooked because people are already moving on to the next generation...

You're an idiot

The whole game is about time travels and rifts in time.  That's what Elizabeth's powers are.

I never really saw what others saw in the original Bioshock.
The other demos featuring the skyhook were sort of meh to me, but these two minutes have sold me. Such beautiful art direction and sound design.
Yes Ken Levine, you have my money.

@menamesringo: Well I mean there aren't alot of games that take place in a metropolis like city beneath the Atlantic Ocean and centers on serious topics like Altruism and features a highly unique plot.

It's in Geoff Keighley's contract that EVERYTHING must be an exclusive or no dice.

Man I love the atmosphere that Ken Levine's games create. Who would think looking around a shop during the day would be so scary.

I'm still sold on the game but what was I supposed to take away from that? The script is a little on the average side. I mean there were jokes but did any of you actually laugh? Artistically the game looks amazing but it always has. Whatever, maybe I just need to see the full demo. This little bit of wandering character interaction has been done before and done much better.
