Big icons... you mean the small icon? Have you played a video game in the last 5 years? Most games show indicators for enemies, be that colored outlines or icons on screen or on a mini-map. Rainbow Six, you one you may think you love, died a 'long' time ago while it was still about the 30min prep time for creating routes on blueprints on the PC... no one thinks that's fun any more, or at least no one willing to buy games these days. If you really care about those style of games they still exist, and are cheap.

I understand having GB original content in crap quality but why trailers? there's no point watching them from this site because I can find hd versions on youtube already.

@masterpaperlink You watch them on this site because otherwise you wouldn't know they exist. That's kinda what news sites are for. Man fuck newspapers, why should I bother reading text I can already go everywhere and talk to everyone in my city in true life ultra HD quality?

I hope Ubisoft gives them time to fulfill their vision on this game. It could be extremely interesting, much more impactful then the paper thin scenarios that are usually in these games.

This is a bad attitude to take. You're basically saying that there is no room for methodical and tactical gameplay in today's marketplace, and every game must homogenize towards a common denominator. Not every first person shooter has to be a Call of Duty blockbuster. There is a place for less conventional games.

@Donos: Your logic doesn't hold up. You want to defend the site no matter what, but your arguments on the matter are weak.

The point is: As far as news goes (and trailers fall into that category), GB is shooting their own feet with this 360p bullshit. Original content is completely another matter, I will keep watching their quicklooks even if the stream them in 240p. But publishing trailers in the site is presumably done with the intent of gaining, not losing, new viewers. Why should anyone watch a trailer here, considering that they probably received it in 720p and then they downgraded it for your viewing (dis)pleasure? that doesn't make any sense. They don't even host it.

True...if GB was the only videogame website in existence, fortunately it isn't. Its kind of a waste of effort on their part when a site like kotaku can just link to a video (which is HD and probably takes them about as long as a youtube search) without having to secure a source file then re upload it in bad quality, if they don't want to upload in hd then just temporarily link a hd version, the layout is the same....it takes less effort.....and its better quality.

That example doesn't really make any sense so ill ignore it.

I am so happy for a new Rainbow Game. The Vegas series is what got me into FPS games and I love them.
