Watch_Dogs Has a Release Date, New Trailer

It looks good and all, but for whatever reason the beginning of the trailer made me aware of how sick of the whole "cinema-verité" shaky-cam bullshit I've become.

Hahaha! ....AAAAHAHAAHAHA! Holy shit, what a stupid trailer. It so badly wants to be intense and gritty but I can't help but laugh.

Wouldn't doubt it. They probably want that console out before the holidays so an October/November launch date would make sense.

You and me both, man. the game looks great, but honestly about 75% of my excitement for it was when i watched that first trailer and was like "heh that looks like the CTA. wait, is that supposed to look like the chicago theatre? IS THAT THE SEARS TOWER??? this game is set in chicago? hell yes!"

Why does everyone think that this release date confirms a November 19th release date for the PS4? This game will also be on PS3/360 and PC, and the Wii U has shown that publisher are fine with putting out "next-gen" versions of their games post-initial release.

Also a Tuesday is a terrible release day. The Wii, PS3, 360, and 3DS have all had Saturday midnight launches.

We're both correct, the game is still wrong. If you were to get onto I-94 West near Chicago, you would be going north. But there is no I-94 North.

Find me one picture of a street sign that says I-94 North, and I'll buy you a copy of this game.

Game looks rad, but that trailer was shit in my opinion. The director must have been manic because all the quick cuts nearly gave me a seizure.

Very hopeful for this game. That being said, that was such a fucking lame line to end the trailer on.

I was excited for this game but this trailer actually makes me less excited. it kinda looks like a futuristic GTA now. And thise trailer doesnt hint at an interesting story.

Looks really good so far- the most interesting part to me was when he was able to bring up those pillars in the road in order to crash the car that was chasing him. I hope there will be many instances of good environmental interaction through hacking like that.

It has to be some kind of trope that a guy who is on the run from the cops, is masked to hide his identity, but always wear the same outfit even though he is trying to blend in with the crowd.

Also the Game looks like it's doing some pretty neat/new stuff with the open world genre by having so many possibilities of interaction with the environment At least judging from the gameplay demos they've shown so far. Funny enough those looked way better (graphically) compared to whats shown in this trailer. Maybe it's the videos quality or they are showing off the PS3/360 version?

And there still is some undisclosed stuff going on with the multiplayer part of this, at least judging by the very first reveal. There also have been rumors that some people, who previously worked on The Crossing, are working on this. So this could end up doing some pretty amazing things in terms of merging single with multiplayer.

@nethlem: Fair enough. I see Ubi and Assassins nowadays and I think "Cash Cow", but if another developer is on this at least we might get a couple of good games out before they over saturate to depletion. Assassin's Creed would be so much better if if there were only 3 games in the series IMO.

Agreed. But I was just thrilled to see it spans out to the highway system and isn't confined to downtown. I figure the signage is gonna be off everywhere -- the renamed Chicago Theater in the first trailer signaled that -- but as long as the architecture is on point and I can walk around a bizarro-world version of my neighborhood and know where I'm going without the game map, I'll have a blast with this.

Thank you so much for the name of the duo, I can't stop listening to them now (especially their album "Nuit de Rêve"). Truly a musical revelation to my ears.

is this the first time a video game has been set in a photorealistic Chicago? Other than racing games? PGR2 and NFS The Run both had Chicago sequences but they were on rails and didn't really give you a sense for the city.
