Huh. I've heard things about DotEmu. Allegations of stealing code for one. To be fair, the things I've heard are too hazy in my mind to go beyond a slight feeling of "those are the bad guys, right?".

@paulunga: There were accusations that they were using an emulator called Nebula, made by GameTap, and that they were just plugging ROMs into that. So there were accusations that they were basically just downloading ROMS and sticking them in an emulator they didn't make.

DotEmu later responded to accusations with the facts that they received all ROM files directly from SNK, and that they actually purchased the rights to use the Nebula emulator from GameTap.

DotEmu is a great company. We need more games published by them to be released on PC.

EDIT: I never really saw Windjammers stuff so judging the video this is like the perfect "feel good" game I've seen in the last 5 years.

Looks fantastic, but boy do I miss the loud "click-click-click" of the buttons on those Neo Geo sticks.

Crazy that we've gone from 0 Windjammers-esque releases to 2 in 2017, with this and Disc Jam. Maybe 2017 will be alright after all.

She seems to do PR stuff, and if you look back to yesterday she said she played Windjammers with GameSpot after a SF media tour.

DotEmu's track record with some of their PC work isn't outstanding to say the least, but with this and Wonder boy 3 they are on their way to redeem themselves.

@razielcuts: If I remember right its based on what version of the game you're playing. B. Yoo is for the Japanese version and S. Miller for EU maybe? Something like that.

Also @jeff I really thought you had found a way to play the old game since I didn't think if a new one of this was being made you would have been able to keep from um... lets say exploding? I love that the French company had no idea the game was so popular too. Goes to show how little the French think about actually selling/making money - and why their economy is the way it is.

I don't think I'll play with any of those filters. For the short time they had them on it really hurt my eyes. I don't know why people think they can emulate scanlines and CRT distortion on LCD screens. Hearing the guy say the filters on were his favorite makes me question his priorities.

The CRT filter actually isn't as offensive as I would have thought. Also I may have missed it but did anyone catch if this is stick compatible?

I hope the emulation in this is as good as they claim. Some of the DotEmu NeoGeo stuff on steam really isn't so hot in the emulation department, Metal Slug, the recently released Garou etc.

We need B. Yoo to show up as a secret character/boss.

With all honesty and respect, I wanted the true raw experience like what you can get at ACA tbh. HAMSTER did a really quality job with their NeoGeo port on PS4 like the recent Neo Turf Master is really quality.

This remastered felt a bit off tbh.

I hope this comes to PC sometime next decade.

Man this better friggin come to PC in the future.
Also, get to fixing that Garou release guys.
