I'll preface this by saying I haven't actually watched the video yet, but I find it REALLY hard to believe another typing game could be better than Typing of the Dead.

I just drank some beers and played that typing game for an hour..

Really cool show this time around. I was sad to learn the Icarus Proudbottom game was connected to the Something Awful people though. I know it's silly, but I tend to stay away from anything connected to "Goons". Same with 4chan stuff. Places and people on the internet that just scare me.

Oh man, the 'Sperg level' attribute on the character sheet killed me.

You can count me pro facecam, A large part of why I enjoy watching video's like this is to experience somebody's reaction to playing a game, and being able to see their face make the video feel a lot more personal in my opinion.

@patrickklepek: Having played Icarus Proudbottom Teachers Typing, I was delighted to see the massive grin on your face as you got into the RPG elements of that game! That grin is the sort of thing that makes the facecam worth it, we see emotion not expressed just in voice.

I tried to use xplit but it was unusably laggy in the UI. it took minuets just to click on one thing. I never even got streaming to work.

SA is huge, varied and worth a damn. Give it a shot sometime, you're really missing out.

I'm very interested in these indie games but am limited by time and platform a lot of the time, so it's nice to still get a glimpse at these games.

@patrickklepek 1. Holy crap thank you so much for highlighting the typing game. Just played through it entirely! Put that on the shortlist for URL of the year.

2. Keep the face cam, I think it helps a lot, especially since we won't be seeing you in-office any more. Helps keep you feeling connected to the site IMHO.
