X-Men: Destiny Launch Trailer

People on other forums who've played it (their XBLA profiles back that up) have sound it deserves a pretty resounding "meh". It's decent enough, but nothing spectacular and will drop in price within a couple of weeks.

I can't stress enough how important characters are for an RPG as well, if the idea is to play as your own custom mutant, why are we stuck with three incredibly generic, unappealing arch-types? A goth, a football jock or a douche? What were they thinking?

There's also no excuse for how bad the game looks..

Why did they use the Wii version to cut the trailer?

I would of liked to of seen this game offer a fully customisable experience, where we were free to choose a characters look / costume / powers. You could start off as a low level kid and work up to full fledged hero and villian over a story spanning a larger timescale ((With each advance in time your previous decisions effecting the world))

I'm sad to find a game that looks lackluster and dull with three very boring looking characters for me to choose from.

And i had no idea Nathan Drake was in the xmen.

Emm, is this a free MMO or something? Why does it look so ugly?

Wait.... are you guys serious? You cannot create a character? The graphics are like at or below par of Rockband and you cannot create your own character?

Is this the real life? Or is this just fantasy...

I was really hoping for an openish world take on the Xmen where your selfmade character gets to make that choice along the way.That's what it seemed like they were going for in the initial announcements. Watched this on my phone during my lunch break today. Read the comments and didn't understand why everyone said it "looked" bad. Home now...sigh.

Still, I played and loved Alpha Protocol, warts and all, so maybe this will pull through.

Silicon Knights total lack of relevancy in the modern day videogaming landscape is beyond laughable at this point. Committing to really awful, shitty superhero games with some of the worst graphic fidelity I've ever seen only cements this.

Once again, Dennis Dyack & Co. haven't dropped the ball, they completely missed the fucking target. Silicon Knights screaming out, "WE'RE RELEVANT!"

Damn I thought that this was an XBLA game and I got pretty excited....

Then I realized it's 59.99$ And from what I'm hearin you can't even create a character. Phew, that's a hard sell from the looks of things. The gameplay would have to be really, really fun.

Trailer isn't doing it for me, just seems bland. Why can't we get more X-Men Legend games?

A shame the game seems to be a rushed effort compared what it could have been or "supposed" to be. Oh well. I'm getting it anyway because I'm a sucker for mediocre beat-em-ups and I've got coupons so I'm not paying full price.

I really hope these trailers were just made a while ago during the game's production, I don't know if you can get away with releasing something that looks this rough & ugly at this point. If the gameplay is rewarding & enjoyable then people will be more forgiving but at the moment things just aren't looking good.

I can't wait to play this on my original Xbox!

Nearly every console game released gets away with it. Admittedly, Destiny looks like it's below average even for that standard, but I suspect we were seeing parts of the game with the camera zoomed in further than is normal for the game which might help explain why it doesn't look so good... but it may just be ugly.

Man, the DS version looks like shit!!! Why arent they showing the xbox or ps3?!

Until about one minute ago I actually thought this was an XBLA game. *sigh* There's no way in hell I'm spending 60 bucks on this. I really miss X-Men Legends.

The trailers haven't been doing it for me but hey maybe it's an OK game. I haven't played or seen it played yet. I rather play as Cyclops or Magneto than one of those crappy looking characters but that goes against the whole premise of making a choice between the two. Choose now!!

Guys, what's most important here is that Nolan freakin North aka the greatest voice of this generation will be taking his talents to the XMans.

Please be the spiritual-ish successor to Marvel Ultimate Alliance (1, with awesome rpg upgrades and costumes, not 2 with less powers and costumes and worse gameplay) that I've always wanted? Please?

Having been playing it for the past 3 hours, I can give it a resounding "ok." Or perhaps, "unfinished." I like it, but it is definitely unfinished and showing. Activision just had to push it and (presumably) Edge of Time out before Arkham City.

Does it feel like a game that would have came out in 2007? That's the vibe I've been getting playing it for awhile, didn't buy it though I got it from a free rental.

I'm really quite torn on this game, every part of me wants to like it, but everything I've seen screams stay the hell away. I'll be waiting for reviews on this one, and even then I think this is more of a bargain bin purchase.

Just give me Legends 3 and I'll be happy. This does not look good.

This game looks really ugly and from the Quick Look it's seems extremely repetitive.
