Not finished but on a good way
The gameplay is great and what you expect from a turn based strategy game which is settled in a fantasy world. It's not as deep as other titles in the genre but we also have to keep in mind that the price is fairly low with 20 €. The interface is slim but it fulfills it's task. But there are also some things missing which could make the management of your empire easier. In example, you don't have a statistic screen for all your armies, cities and so on, you can't automate stuff and have to order them again every turn. Also hotkeys are missing which is really really sad. They could make things so much easier with a decent hotkey layout, maybe in the future.
The difficulty is pretty honest and does what it says. If you want to have a challenge and choose the hardest difficulty setting you won't be disappointed, for sure there are always people who find things to easy, but i guess the difficulty settings are pretty fair for everyone. The AI has it's flaws but nothing to worry about as it won't affect the gaming experience much. The graphics look polished and are really great, they develop the atmosphere of the game pretty well. The music is also well produced as it is always there but never annoying.
Overall I liked the game and would rate it with 3 Stars which isn't bad for a game like this.. If you like Turn based strategy you can't do much wrong with this game. It's not a milestone in the genre but a great game for fans. If you expect a really deep strategy game with lots of options and statistic screens, Warlock is the wrong game for you. Although I hope that some stuff will be implemented via patches or dlcs I would buy it again as it is because I have a lot of fun with it.
