That's Monster Hunter G, port of the first PS2 game that isn't likely to get out of Japan. 3 is a true sequel and looks about twice as good :P
Come on dude, you know that, they wouldn't make a trailer without any of the new features like underwater fighting or torch lighting.

I was wondering why the visuals looked so downgraded. It's only Monster Hunter G.

With that said, the trailer does a good job of showing what the games are about, and it still looks pretty good, especially in high quality with how surprisingly crisp everything is, and the excellent art direction the whole franchise has.

Definitely. It's a very action-packed game with lots to do.

Can't wait for Tri, though! Assuming it comes over to North America.

It will, CAPCOM has all but confirmed that much with constant statements of how they wish to push Monster Hunter more in the West after the announcement of 3. The PSP games all got translated so they can't have been talking about those only.

    That's exciting. :)

MH3 looks fantastic. I just love the whole concept of slaying absurdly huge monsters online with friends in a large gameworld.

I was going to get the latest PSP game myself for that same reason (even though those only have local multiplayer) but decided to wait. It's a long wait, but I think playing the earlier ones would limit the enjoyment I can have with the new one. As fun as it is, I'm sure that playing a 100+ (or over 300 according to some fans) hours deep game will wear the concept out and make the next 100+ hours deep game less enjoyable than it can be. I just want CAPCOM to release some more media. After they decided to also port G they have been more quiet about 3. Understandable, but at least the various regional divisions could show us more of 3 since G isn't coming here.

I knew it was G yet I still stuck Tri in the title and did not even notice my mistake.
