The Nintendo Wii is a home video game console released on November 19, 2006. The Wii's main selling point was the innovative use of motion controls that its signature Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers allowed for. It became the best selling home console of its respective generation of hardware.
It's a port of the PS2 game, that's why it looks like it does, not because it's their first game. It's not a remake, though a few assets have reportedly been redone, but obviously not enough to change the whole look.
"Looks alright, kind of like a 3D Castlevania, but better than Konami's efforts. What kind of scores did the old PS2 version get?"
I was wondering the same thing myself. I had never heard of it before the port (or remake) was announced."
http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/ps2/rygar Not bad reviews overall, some worrying comments, like the length GameSpot mentions. It might be worth a rent, I think I read that they've added more humanoid enemies too, like some giant sword wielding knights, so perhaps the problems with the enemy variety mentioned are resolved.
Anyway, considering the games shown at TGS this will be our last choice :P
"Your love of dudes with bleached white hair comes to the fore ;). I don't think it looks too hot myself, but maybe I need to see a better quality video than the one above. It could be a fun game if the controls for the Diskarmor (classic Rygar weapon) are fun.. I just wish the game had better production values, than what it seems to have."
HAHA! xD I didn't really take notice of his hair color until you pointed it out! I do think the game looks pretty fun but the camera seems like it could be a real dealbreaker.
