A Great Combat system allows Raven to Bring justice to Wolverine-

So another year goes by, another Superhero movie game comes out, this time its X-Men Origins Wolverine and it succeeds primarily because it does what no video game has done before....
    Have Wolverines claws kill people.
In the Official Game of the recently released movie you play as Wolverine in two storylines that run parallel to each other and use your claws to tear foes into several bloody bite sized peices.

The story of Wolverine takes place in two parallel time periods the first being a mission that takes place before Wolverine got his adamantium skeleton, this means two things-

    1. He has Bone Claws
    2. Things get really, Really bloody
Actually one of the best things about The Wolverine game is that Wolverine actually eviscerates through foes like you would expect with claws like his, he tears limbs off, Decapatates and impales just about every enemy he will come across in the game.
This gore factor is only a small part of the appealling combat system in Wolverine, the combat is also very accesible and you'll practically master it after the first few levels, and to give you a reason to get more exotic kills you gain Experience for doing so.
These experience points can be spent on Improving Wolverines Stats or moves, unfortunately theres no New Moves to be gained by the system.

The graphics are suprisingly decent with the highlight being the way Wolverines Healing Factor works, unfortunately the Sound design in the game isnt as good, with some pretty standard action music being played and Wolverine dosent say much with the exception of some angry grunts.

Props go to Raven Software(who developed the game) for creating a game that does Wolverine Justice by allowing you to play as an unstoppable killing machine that literally bathes in blood, unfortunately the drawback to this is that the game is too easy with you tearing through a lackluster amount of enemy types far too easily.
With Excellent Combat and Level Design Wolverine is worth checking out but don't expect much longevity from it, although to be honest, i'd much rather a movie game like this than the lackluster games of several years ago.

You know what gameplay mechanic I hate? Quck time events (QTE). The ones where they flash a series of buttons on the screen and you have less than a second to press each one, or you have to mash one button inhumanly fast. I've been playing video games for 15 years and I'm still completely unable to do these things. Maybe I'm defective; whatever, my point is they ruin games for me. God of War was one of the worst offenders, where practically every other enemy required severe button-mashing and ev...

Oh man this game is hella fun. Really great hack and slash action. It's sorta like... Max Payne but instead of guns you've got adamantium claws. Every once in a while you'll pull off a crazy move like slicing a guy's torso in half or whatnot and it'll go into slow mo while the blood splatters everywhere. Never fails to make me laugh. And it's all optimized really well for a PC port. This was made by Raven, so that's to be expected, those guys have been working on PC games for ages. It's just so ...
