Just curious if the Falcon chip has proven to be effective. Also, an estimate on when the Jasper chip sets will be on shelves would be appreciated.

The Xbox 360 is the second game console produced by Microsoft Corporation and is the successor to the original Xbox.
Has the Falcon chip been effective? And where's Jasper?
Yeah it's hard to get any concrete numbers on whether the falcon chips have faired better. The only place I ever see discussion of it is on forums, and links never seem to be supplied with poster's opinions...so who knows.
I only know 2 people for certain that have a falcon, and they haven't experienced any failures.
"No it hasn't. I made sure my 360 had a Falcon chip when I bought it last year, and I've had it break two times. (I'm getting it back from the second repair on Monday)."Dang. That stinks. Wow, I actually thought the Falcons would do something.
I thought they may have been effective than the previous chip, but I do not know anyone with a Falcon chip(that I know of).
Do the Arcade models have the Falcon chip in them?
"I thought they may have been effective than the previous chip, but I do not know anyone with a Falcon chip(that I know of).Yeh I'm pretty sure the newer Arcades have Falcon chipset.

Perhaps Microsoft delayed the release of the chipsets to a limited amount. If that's the case, this Christmas would be a definite delivery. But next year isn't too far off either, so there's a window of opportunity for them in the long run. Hopefully the "tales of woe" enter a slumber, and no one will have to face problems again. (any console, not just the 360)
