Let me get to the point here.

• I was stupid, and put in my actual DOB when I made my gamertag
• I am finally completely fed up with Microsoft's BS
• I want to upgrade my account to adult status through nay means possible, although if it's totally necessary I will scrap it
• Does anyone know a trick/loophole that I can use to change the age associated with my gamertag?

As far as I know you have to scrap it =\ but I'm not 100% sure

For my I just had to switch my Live email to the parents account email, you could try that.

I did the same thing man. I just ignore it. I can still play rated M games on it, but I can't download any video content that's rated M or Rated Pending(strange that I can download rated M games from XBLA but not watch the content).

idiot, heres the birthday i put for every thing, 1 january, 1940.

I had a child account and earned 8000 points on it but then canceled it and made a new account and earned 12110 points on it.

kind of a stupid question here but ask if your parents wouldnt mind you switching it to an adults.
from then on you wouldnt run into any problems trying to trick microsoft into changing it for you

When I upgraded from a Child account I had just gotten my Debit card. Maybe changing the credit card on the account will allow you to transfer to an adult. That's how I did it anyway, and it worked fine. Never have I been happier to see mindless advertising.

Calling Microsoft is a pain in the butt, but it is the only way.

Go to your hotmail.com > Click Options (Far right) > Click manage and edit your personal information(first option) > Click Registered information(top middle of the page)> Change your birthday.

It should work.

Every time I try to change the Windows ID associated with my gamertag it says "Cannot connect to XBL" when clearly I am connected for I am talking to a friend on voice chat.

Ever since I screwed around with my Windows Live ID I've been losing connection to Live at random, and stuff seems to be.... clunky. I almost preferred being stuck on my child's account. Oh well, "be careful what you wish for..."

i have had the same problem for about a year know. i have tried everything to fix it. MICROSOFT WILL DO NOTHING TO HELP ME. and i really don't want to make a new profile so i'm just going to live with it to the 360 dies in however many years, its not that big of a deal. i can still play online ( not EA games though)

Don't know if anyone posted it yet, but here's what I did to circumvent that shit:

In list form!

1. Make a new Windows Live! ID
2. Make sure you set the birthday to something OVER 21
3. Go into account management
4. Enter the necessary parent email and normal email (I used two of my own email addresses when I first signed up, you may need to get your parents to help though)
5. Click "Change Windows Live! ID"
6. Change it to your new ID
7. Confirm the change yet again- make sure the birthday is definitely changing to the new account's
8. Wait for a few days- you'll know it worked once full advertisements start showing up where the blank "xbox live" logo boxes are.

I have the same problem. My dad forgot the password to the windows live id. And the email that we used as reference is my dad's old corporate email that doesn't exist anymore. And the secret question is "what food do you like."
