No achievements for Xbox Originals. If you want an introduction and something to clue you in on what the series about, go for it. I'd rather own the physical copy, but people are different.
I would concur with the "physical copy" statement. I've heard a number of complaints about the framerates of the downloaded games, particularly Fable and Black.
The closest thing the Originals give to achievements is a spot in your games list, where the game is displayed with a "--" instead of a gamerscore amount. Physical used copy is cheaper at your nearest retailer.
They don't have achievements and they shouldn't have achievements. I'm glad that don't have them because that would have just been an excuse to sell the DLC versions to people who already own them, or can get them somewhere else cheaper.

Not to mention the fact that you can sell a physical copy when you're done with it, or give it to a friend. You think you own that downloaded copy of Ninja Gaiden Black? Think again.
