    Yooka-Laylee is a spiritual successor to classic 3D platformers, such as Banjo Kazooie, from former RARE developers at Playtonic Games. Playtonic crowdsourced the game's funding through Kickstarter, achieving their goal within 40 minutes.

    Figured maybe some people would be interested in the YL stuff that came out of Gamescom, and that I'd make a thread about it.

    I think it looks real good still! Seems like there's placeholder animations on most of the moves but I am very much looking forward to this one.

    Backed it, definitely looking forward to it.

    I've been ignoring most coverage and video since I just wanna run around and jump on stuff. Shame there was no music in that gameplay demo, which I'm assuming will wind up being one of the best parts of the game. Listening to nothing but "huh, ha!" seems a little insane, but at least that level has some nice scale to it.

    I underestimated just how much they were shooting for the whole 'We're making a Banjo game basically' angle but wow it really is one of those games. I am totally alright with that and I'll probably have to pick this up.
