StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty Hits Retail July 27

At one point I thought about how cool it would be to learn to play this online. Then Super Street Fighter 4 came out... I don't think I can go through learning pains for two games at a time.

Man, i really should of had my WoW account paid for. Might have helped me into the beta :( 
Anyway, can't wait to play it. the editor looks great as well, racing, FPS, will be very entertaining to say the least.

I know SC2 is an RTS game and a competetive one at that, which is always in need of balancing and changes, but let's hope that Blizzard has learned from past beta-testa by now that when the game hit retails it doesn't end up with still feeling beta the first few weeks. Remember when WC3 it the shelves and still alot of imbalances that the last beta patch had was carried over to the retail. So let's hope they atleast take the remaining beta months to actually try out to balance it out, so we don't have a rocky first weeks with balance changes every other week.

In the multiplayer there are ladders which you are placed to after playing a few placement matches. This means you'll only play people around your skill level. Smurfing doesn't happen either since you can only have on account per copy of SC2 and I doubt people would buy another copy of the game just ot beat on newbies in the copper league. "

Toss just sucks. Terran is OP.

im having the exact same problems as you brad, as a toss aswell, i think emp is extremely op aswell as marauders.

Any ideas on system specs yet?

lol, my cousins in Korea just sent me a frantic email begging me to pick up a copy for them. Is that release date international or NA only?

...yeah but there's a problem in the beta right now and that has to do with achievements.  A good chunk of players are failing their placement matches to get put into copper for free, and then just gang rape the noobs for all the achievements.  They balance it out with losses here and there, to make sure they stay in copper until they got what they need.  They'll leave once they get the harder achievements but for the first week or two...a lot are gonna fail on purpose. "
