Yes, it's true: the StarCraft II beta test has begun, considering this is what my Battle.net account page looks like. Blizzard hasn't sent an official confirmation yet, but I've downloaded 29.2MB of the 1.64GB game client, so whatevers! Photographic evidence!

Let's hope Blizzard continues to invite more players into the program as it progresses. Blizzard has done "all past invitees are invited to this beta" so if you've ever been in one of their betas before, you'll probably get an invite at a later wave. Most waves usually have "themes" to them I love Blizzard's beta process. They're very punctual, and very precise with when they give out keys. And they'll keep you posted, mostly.

How would they know who was in the past ones and how would the contact them? I was in Diablo 2 vanilla beta and Frozen throne beta, oh and wow beta too (thought of that after I hit post the first time) but I cannot remember a method as to how they would contact me.
