Yes, it's true: the StarCraft II beta test has begun, considering this is what my Battle.net account page looks like. Blizzard hasn't sent an official confirmation yet, but I've downloaded 29.2MB of the 1.64GB game client, so whatevers! Photographic evidence!

I'm not excited. I am korean-american (it's a national sport over there) and spent many a youthful day playing the first one. Many, many years later I find myself stricken with exasperated indifference to it all.
I am just so tired of the hype for this. Starcraft was an alright diversion 10 years ago, but that's it. I never thought it was the greatest game ever. Not even close! Blizzard seriously brainwashes their fanboys, because their games are not so great that they always deserve such high sales or publicity.

Okay so my account lists Starcraft II, it lists the License Status as BETA and it allows me to download the PC client (which I would be doing right now if it wasn't for the fact that I work on Macs and my PC is at home). However I haven't received an email about being invited, so am I in or does it just list it for everybody who opted in to the beta? I have the feeling I will download the client and it won't allow me to login.
I'd try to get into the beta, but I don't ever plan on playing this game Multiplayer. Ever. I can't keep up in RTS games, especially not the insanity that is Starcraft, where people have more than 10 years of experience over me.
@moztacular: The minimum system requiriments have been posted, they will probably change but still.
