One of the coolest parts in the recent demo was when Elizabeth opens a tear into what looks like the 1980's. While it might be a one off thing, it might be cool to see other realities/times start popping as her powers grow or become more unstable. Personally I think a flash to Rapture, or maybe a quick jaunt on a creepy spaceship from Irrationals past might be cool. How about a trip to a mirror world where the characters have made all the opposite decisions you have made up to that point? So fellow GB members, where else would you like to see the tears take us?

The third game in the BioShock series leaves the bottom of the sea behind for an entirely new setting - the floating city of Columbia, circa 1912. Come to retrieve a girl named Elizabeth, ex-detective Booker DeWitt finds more in store for him there than he could ever imagine.
Tears, where else will they take us?

DINOSAURS!!!!!!!!!!
If they did a Dino D-Day crossover , I am all ears.
Unless they truly are sick of it, perhaps a momentary cameo appearance of Rapture. It doesn't have to be related to the story so much as be an easter egg or a surprise moment like the one shown in the 15-minute demo.
I'm pretty sure that would be video games' new "jumping the shark" (dunno what the old one was, I'll admit). I can just imagine people saying "Yeah Infinite was great until they spawned the dinosaur".I could see them opening a tear to get a Dinosaur to take down the Songbird. But then again, I don't think that's how tears work, as the city of Columbia was never around while there were dinosaurs on the earth...unless they went into the future.

To the moon, Alice, straight to the Moon!
That be cool, but a certain 2011 Game of the Year contender already pulled of the moon trick this year.

That's not what I meant duder, I wouldn't want this game to ape Portal 2. I was referring to a tear taking them to the set of the live TV show The Honeymooners. Maybe they would have to play along as guests of the Kramdens.

Yeah, but the question then is, do they walk onto the set or a world where The Honeymooners is real, and then would it be in color or black and white. I would want black and white myself :)

Black and white for sure. :)
A tear will open to the moment Andrew Ryan is about to die in the 1st game and he will escape into the world of Columbia.
I think i'd like to see something of that nature in infinite

Not sure I'd like to see something that story altering for another game, but maybe you might grab a weapon from another universe and use it to fight in Infinite.

They could easily open a tear during a fight with song bird, have it take you to the past so you are free falling through the sky while continuing to fight song bird. You shoot a well aimed RPG at one of its wings, making it unable to fly, and then you hitch a ride on the back of a teradactyl at the last second. You and Elizabeth are then riding into the sunset on the back of the teradactyl and she opens a tear back to the games present time, so the city of Columbia forms in front of Elizabeth and you. Roll late title card.

no I didn't mean that's where the story should go but maybe a couple nudges to the other games through those rifts.
Knowing the possibilities these tears can bring along with seeing that 15 minute demo, I kinda don't want to be stuck in Columbia the whole game. From the looks of it, Columbia doesn't seem like a large place to explore. Most likely we will be taken somewhere else. THAT's what I'm excited for.
I can't see them not at least referencing Rapture with at least one of the tears at some point. Perhaps you see Ryan's dead body and you can take the golf club, or maybe grab one of a Big Daddies' weapons.

You idiot, thanks for SPOILING an extremely recent game.@Chris2KLee said:

That's not really much of a spoiler.

I wonder if you'll get stuck in any of these "tears"?
Turns out, Columbia itself is the tear the whole time. You find out at the end after she turns on you right after you killed Songbird, who was actually imprisoning her because shes pure evil.
...and the main timeline is really the 1980s :D@Soapy86 said:

Seriously, I hope the next Bioshock game is set in space. No. Really. Either way, they'll totally take us to nazi Germany....Or a parallel universe Nazi Antarctica.
Well...SS2 was set in space. Anyway; I think, in some interview, Ken alluded to this being the last Bioshock game, or at least the last Kenshock game.
im just expecting Elizabeth to turn on Booker at some point of the game and just use those tears against you@Red said:

Canada.It's not a fantasy game.
If they made a second Star Wars reference and ended up in the same room as Luke and Vader fighting, it would be the worst and best thing ever to happen in a video game.
