    A fun, light-hearted trivia game

This is a fun trivia game. The questions are not on the level of Jeopardy or Trivial Pursuit; they are more general knowledge and pop culture. Still, it's a nice mix and you can buy quiz pack add-ons for specific topics. The game is nicely animated with an entertaining host (yeah, his quips old, but he's not bad). All the questions are read aloud to you as well as being displayed in text on screen. There are 4 challenge trees where you play through a variety of quiz modes to ultimately beat the score of 1 of these 4 quiz gurus, unlocking them as a character. You can also just play a quick session of straight up trivia questions.

    The challenge quiz modes include:
    * Points Builder - Get points for each correct answer
    * Quickfire - Get more points for answering quickly and correctly
    * High Stakes - Bet a number of points before answer, if correct get those points, if incorrect lose those points
    * Snapshot - Answer as many questions as you can within the time limit, revealing squares on a photo, then answer a question about that photo to get bonus points

You can play quizzes created by other players online. You must be online to play; you can't download the user-created quizzes to play later. You can also create your own quizzes and upload them to the quiz cloud for others to play.

There is a multiplayer aspect where you can pass the PSP around for players to answer their questions. You can also play ah-hoc wireless against other PSP owners. No true online play though.

I've played the game for 3 hours and have seen 4 repeat questions. Kind of irritating since there are 4,500 questions in the game, but not a deal breaker. Some questions are music (listen to a song) or video clips. There's no way to tell the game not to play audio or video questions, so if you're unable to listen to sound while playing (like on a train, no headphones or something), you'll just have to guess at the answers.

Overall, this is a very fun game. I would recommend to anyone who enjoys trivia. There is a variety of question topics, so everyone should be able to enjoy it.

If you're on the fence about it, there is a demo of Buzz Quiz Master on PSN Store you could check out. It is not the same game, but it has the same feel.
