Overview
The Chavos is a 4-Door Average Family Sedan that exclusively appears in Grand Theft Auto IV, Grand Theft Auto: The Ballad of Gay Tony, and Grand Theft Auto: The Lost and Damned along with Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars. It is produced by Dinka in the HD Universe (GTA IV, TBOGT, TLAD, GTA V, and GTA Online) of the Grand Theft Auto series, which in turn, is based on Honda.
Design Cues:
The front fascia of the Dinka Chavos in GTA IV resembles a cross between a 1998 Nissan Silvia S14 and a 1995 Honda Accord CD/3/4/5/6/7/8/9 at the front with heavily altered headlights and grille, while the rear fascia or the taillights of the automobile are a combination of both a 1997 Nissan Altima L30 and a 1994 Toyota Tercel L50 albeit with slight alterations in the pattern of where the taillights, reverse lights, and turn signals are.
The Chavos may spawn with a black roof, similar to that of the Imponte DF8-90. The most common colors for this car are Red and Gray, occasionally spawning with a black hardtop. For a strange reason, whenever somebody steals a Chavos, the car's alarms will come on, even though car alarms weren't used until the early to middle 2000s on automobiles.
The Car in Chinatown Wars is faithful to it's GTA IV rendition, but a lot less detailed and slightly boxier. In turn, this causes the car to lean towards more of a 1989 Honda Accord CB7/CB9.
Handling
The Handling of the Chavos is Exceptionally Good for that of a sedan. It's top speed is 90 mp/h or 145 km/h, has a 5-Gear Manual as its Transmission, Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) as it's Drivetrain, and a Mass of 1550 kg / 3417 lbs according to the handling.dat in the game files in common/pc/data. According to the car's files in the game and the game's design of the engine, it has a V05 badge along with a Twin-Camline Inline 4 (I4) engine, which produces a turbo like sound similar to that of the Sentinel and Sultan RS, which is considered to be extremely strange due to the fact that the engine is not turbocharged, unlike the Sentinel and the Sultan RS, which have a turbocharged Inline-4 engine. The vehicle's suspension makes it easy to go around corners at average speeds of 0 km/h to 100 km/h if handled properly by a professional driver, which also has understeering as it's disadvantage.
The Car in Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars is downgraded, but still Above Average for an average 4-door sedan.
Trivia
A similar car appears in Max Payne 3, albeit with altered Headlights and Taillights/Wheels.
"Chavos" is a slang term for "Money" and young men. "Chav" is also a slang term for British youths, who typically wear tracksuits (often football related) and Burberry caps.
