Cowboy Bebop: Tsuioku no Yakyoku is an action-fighting game developed by Banpresto and released in Japan for the PlayStation 2 on August 25, 2005. It features a brand new story not found in the original anime series. The events of the story center around the crew searching for a space pirates treasure. Spike, Faye and Jet are all playable characters in the game and Ed gives the player the mission information and advice for completing the missions. Some missions include fighting, piloting space craft or a boat. Blackjack is a also included as a playable mini-game for the player to earn money. While a US release was planned, it was cancelled by Bandai before release. However, the events of the game were fan-translated and compiled into a movie-length feature on YouTube by Studio Sokodei.
