Gearbox Has Something To Say About Duke Nukem
So... they're offering a demo of the game to people who will have already decided to buy it? And I know you can cancel a pre-order, but still. You also get access to the demo if you bought the Game of the Year edition of Borderlands last year. I have a copy on Steam and wound up with a demo access code for future redemption a while back.
I know Giant Bomb has mad love for Randy Pitchford and Gearbox et al, but this First Access Club stuff is pretty gross marketing.
They're desperate to lock in these pre-orders, moreso as every day between now and the release date goes by.
Because the game is going to be critically pannnnnnned at release, and even the demo is probably gonna catch a lotta flak.
This would'veworked if it were posted before the DNF demo article. :Ptell me about it
Gearbox has something to say about Duke Nukem? Really? Well I have something to say to Gearbox about Duke Nukem- Shut the fuck up and put the damn game out already. So you don't want them to advertise the game at all then? Just drop it on store shelves with no warning, that would be a great way to sell copies.

I think by first access, they mean people who pre-order get the demo first, then once it's out, everyone else gets it. Right? Surely...
Maybe if that d-bag at 0:39 spent less time on his hair the game would have never had that initial delay.
Just torrent it for a 'demo' if you're so inclined. That's right, I said it. Please torrent this game if you'd like to try it out and buy it if you like it. Gearbox said it as much with their marketing.
I like the style in which they produce these trailers, but the gross "Pre-order our fucking game!" marketing is kind of distasteful.
First sign of a mediocre game? You have to pay to play the demo.Any worse than people getting to play a demo of Gears of War 3 by pre-ordering?
