    ESPN NHL Hockey (NHL 2K4) was the first game in the series developed by Kush Games, taking the reigns from Black Box (NHL 2K) and Treyarch (NHL 2K2, NHL 2K3). Kush would go on to develop all games in the series from 2004 until 2007.
