History
Fenix was a highly renowned Protoss Zealot in the original Starcraft campaign. Often viewed as both a great general and warrior, he was a part of the Protoss' plans for expanding their empire and defeating the Zerg threat. However, during the defense of an important fort on a foreign planet, the Zerg attacked Fenix and his men, slaughtering all of them. Because of the Protoss' advanced technology, Fenix was able to survive as a Dragoon, allowing him to continue his General duties among the Protoss. Over the years of fighting, Fenix developed a strong relationship with Jim Raynor, and they were considered allies and friends. While playing as the Zerg, players are forced to kill Fenix, along with the Terran officer Edmund Duke, during the Brood War expansion pack.
