I am looking for an awesome game to play with my friends during holidays so we don't really want to pay... we acknowledge the fact that you get what you pay for... but still the must be something good and interesting out there... so anyone willing to help us, thank you, if you dont mind posting the link of the game you recommend, it will be highly appreciated...
Any awesome free MMO game out there?
Runescape. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=runescape&l=1
Guild Wars is good with friends.
You have to buy the actual game but there are no subscription fees.
I don't really play MMOs, but I have a couple of friends who were into Anarchy Online, which has a "Free Play" program.
Not Runescape! Whatever you do don't play Runescape. Play FlyFF or something instead. God I hate Runescape.
" Not Runescape! Whatever you do don't play Runescape. Play FlyFF or something instead. God I hate Runescape. "What he said. Runescape is awful. Just... awful.
I like Wurm Online. The game's emphasis is building/crafting and less about combat, so it may not be your cup of tea.
The free option is more then enough to have fun.
Im having a lot of fun playing Shin Megami Tensei: IMAGINE Online. I wouldent say its a great game but it is an MMORPG where we can get together as various class's and run dungeons. Im playing as a straight up Warrior (DPS), weve got a party healer, a ranged/magic user and an all rounder. Its really fun because were playing with friends but as a game its passable.
Sorry mate never played an enjoyable free mmo. Considering how many of them you can find I wish you luck finding one to suit your tastes.
Since it sounds like this is more short term (holidays) - I say go out and get WoW for 10 bucks and enjoy your free 30 days that comes with it. Much better investment of time imo then most of the crap mmos out there.
Warhammer has that never ending trial up to like lvl 10 or something...could have a couple days of fun with that.
Maple Story
Rumble Fighter
Gunz
Not really awesome, but you could look into them and see if they're your thing.
Guild Wars- A great subscriptionless MMO if you don't mind actually paying for the game discs themselves.
Maplestory- A platform-based MMO.
Puzzle Pirates- An unconventional puzzle-based MMO. There are subscription servers but you can also choose a "doubloon ocean" where it's free-to-play.
Dragonica- A 3D side-scrolling MMO.

" @Gamer_152 said:Well I suppose that's a slightly deceptive description (although there are a small number of quests in the game which are just straight out platforming stages). I suppose you could call it a 2D-side-scrolling-based MMO but that doesn't seem to quite do it justice as almost all areas of the game have multiple levels which the character often has to jump between platforms or climb up/down ropes, ladders etc. to traverse between. Advancement through the game may not be dependent on platforming but there is at very least light platforming involved throughout."wut "Maplestory- A platform-based MMO.

" @FluxWaveZ said:Yeah, that's true. Especially given the fact that there are a number of skills that are there to facilitate the platforming (haste, teleport...). All those platforming stage quests, without monsters and stuff, were just frustrating and pointless, though." @Gamer_152 said:Well I suppose that's a slightly deceptive description (although there are a small number of quests in the game which are just straight out platforming stages).
