As for this whole "landslide" thing: electorals were, yes, a "landslide"...but then again, you don't really get to control the amount of electorals are in each state, now do ya? SOOO...I wouldn't base a landslide off of electorals.
And if you go by the pop vote, there was no landslide to that.
Therefore, I would say what most Americans would say: this was a very close battle.
And if you say otherwise...then you are no better than someone claiming that PS3 is the best console over 360...or that 360 is the best over PS3...or that Wii is the best over both...or anything else.
And a lot of shit that I've seen in this thread makes me regret that some of you are of voting age, because the immaturity you showed in your "celebrations" and "responses" will cause the future of this country to flounder and fail.

First, I would say that people like you are the reason that racism still exists on this planet, and it's a fucking shame. How about you look past the fact that the President is black for five seconds? I know that I did when I went to the voting booth. I grew up colorblind to the world, sir. I base my judgments on what values people hold, and the values Obama holds are not what is best for this country in my own eyes.Second, the history books won't do shit for you if you want to learn about elections, because that was then and this is now. Fact: age groups 18-29 vehemently supported Obama during this election, which can be seen in the votes. Meanwhile, the adult population that has been through more than one election voted rather differently. Another fact: the majority of MySpace users, Facebook users, and YouTube users are between the ages of 16-30. Kind of funny how I could log onto those sites on any given day and Obama was plastered all over them? Advertising does NOT equal truth, but unfortunately, our young generation doesn't seem to understand that.
Third, again, your response proves once again that immaturity led to an election that will force our country to suffer some consequences...but hey, you guys wanted change. You just may not be prepared to take on changing for the worse.
There were far more qualified Democratic nominees than Obama during the primaries, any one of which would've made me question picking McCain as my choice, even though I am very much a Republican. Obama, unfortunately, just happened to play the one right card that made a huge difference...
...and everyone fell for it.
It's not about being a sore loser. I am by no means a sore loser. I'm glad that Obama was able to get into office and show the African-American community, a community filled with just as much hatred as the KKK has, that ANYONE in this country can achieve something great. That is far more inspirational than anything that I can possibly imagine, and I applaud him for being that kind of a role model. However, the fact that he is President during a 4 year term run COMPLETELY by Democrats is no good for our country. Part of his campaign, if you will, depended on bi-partisanship.
Well, where's that bi-partisanship now?
Again, welcome to socialism. If you have no idea what that is, I would suggest looking it up.
Here's to hoping that Obama isn't a bad choice.
