General Discussion » Question: Split Screen Yay or Nay?
Wondering what you guys (Bombers? Bombie's?) think about Split Screen. Personally I love it and the most fun Ive had playing games is with a friend sitting next to me (and also LAN party's) but since online multiplayer is absolutely massive do you think its on its way out? Or maybe only the Wii will have it? I hope it stays, forever and always!

IMO the stunt jumps were the easiest. I just got a combo holding all the way to the quarry, and got lots of double barrel rolls. What I did was that I did a double barrel roll and a flat spin at the same time... takes a little practise, but the points roll in.

Hey, I am mike. I have been following the giantbomb reviews for quite a while so.... I am 18 and currently finishing up my junior year in hs. um... I have a ps3 and 360. what else hmmm. well I hope that I can enjoy my time on this site.

General Discussion » Do you think the information on the site will be accurate?

I like the fact that anyone can edit or add to the database. What I'm concerned about is that there will be some inaccurate information that the mods might not notice in users' submissions. I don't expect the mods to know about every obscure game out there so this is bound to happen. What do you guys think?

I remember I can to this site long before that but never bothered posting comments/using the forums.


I lurked for quite a long time before I joined. The GB community was quite small, and in a way still is. My past experience shows smaller forum communities can be negative to new users, and it took me a while to decide whether I wanted to join the discussions.

Perfect Knight Achievement


this took me a hell of a long time, but the combat was so fun in this game it wasn't too bad. The stealth combat challenges are really simple imo, just a case of working out the right way to go about it. However the combat challenges can be a little frustrating. Mainly the extreme versions of rumble in the jungle and shock and awe. 
 
I did shock and awe by getting really great scores on the first three, it is far easier to keep within the time limit on these three. Put all your efforts into getting high scores on these as the fourth is very hard to score well on.. you need to give yourself some breathing room so that on the 4th you can just concentrate on getting your combo meter up to 5 and then instant takedowning (b+y). No variation bonusing, just get your combo meter yellow then take an enemy out.. only real way i could get under the timelimit. Get your x5 by beating on non-knife/eletric guys, then go for one of the knife/eletric guys with your instantTK. Very frustrating when you get to 30k in the first three rounds, only to run out of time on the fourth!!
 
Rumble in the jungle extreme.. stop guys from getting boxes and guns, just listen out for the alarm at all time and watch the boxes, they're your priority. Also learn to evade away into some space if you're beginnig to get surrounded, you can keep your combo going if you hit someone soon after. RITJE is all about the tank guys though. Get a nice combo going, tthen evade using an enemy (so your combo is still going strong, evading normally gives you less time to hit the next person) when a tank comes, of course, that's after hitting tank with batarang. Now go in there and punch him enough times to get him grounded, but countering the other guys is priority because you can stop pnuching tank and he'll still be dazed after to count an oncomer. When he is kneeling.. stay away from him. If you've managed to get a x10 by this point, this is your chance to hit the big points, as he'll be down for some time, get your combo up another 10 or so, as much as you feel safe doing.. THEN jump on his back. You could be on x20 before you've even started thwacking guys on his back.  When i finally did it, i got 17k on first round (by far my best, this is really what won it for me, can't expect to do that every time.. 12k is really what you want to go for), 20k on 2nd, 10k on third, 10k on fourth.  
 
hope that can help anyone struggling on those two which are by far the hardest

Off-Topic » Anyone else find the new video adds to be extremly anoying?

The ads kinda annoy me, but that's only because it's the same two ads for ODST. If there was a greater variety of ads, then I wouldn't have any complaints at all. Be thankful for their length, many sites force you to look at a full ad page before you can actually enter the site, that crap I have no tolerance for.

Modern Warfare 2 » What will you first do when you get home with MW2?

I'm going to play through the single player, and some of the special ops missions just to get a feel of the game, and the weapons. Then i'll probably play the multiplayer for a few months, until Mass Effect 2 comes out.

Endurance Run: Persona 4 - Part 18 (Video)

great run today, and I think you guys are (slowly) learning how to do things.

I just hope you're going tv diving soon, because you don't want to get a game over. I really recommend that you try and clear 4-5 floors in a day, and if you're crazy you could even finish the entire dungeon in a day. But really, 2 days should be enough for you to clear it.

Killzone 2 » Killzone 2, A Chance For Rebirth?

Hey guys Kaos here,

As a guy who has not much to play here in Tokyo due to over priced games, my eye has been set on Killzone 2.  You might ask, why not Resistance or a PC shooter...well, I own a Macbook.  The only shooter I play is CS 1.6 and I do it beautifully.  As for the 360, I left it back in the States and I picked up a PS3!  

I played the first Killzone and it was decent, not as bad as people let it off to be.  

I think Killzone 2 will be it's rebirth, hopefully even console shooter of the year!  

Hopeful, maybe a bit.  :)

PC » Conflicted.....

Im getting a new PC and i plan to get steam for it but....

What game should i get?

Call of duty 4
or
Left 4 Dead

L4D is soon going to be updated and a new COD is just around the corner so i might wait for that and kill zombies instead but i want some opinions....
COD5 is out of the question because ive been playing COD2 on my old PC so im done with world war 2!

Halo 3 » Auto Update 2.

So, what are your thought's on Auto update2?
I personally love the idea of having a whole rank, and an individual rank for each playlist. This way if you play a general in say "Head to Head" your know he's played that playlist alot and is skilled in it :)

I can't wait to see all the boosters rank's, there gonna be recruit's in everything other than doubles xD

Ugh. That's disgusting in every way. Mainly the the fact that "xD" is being used and not in a taking-the-piss way.
