Biography
Also known as Kuni-no-sagiri-no-kami, Kunino-sagiri is the Japanese god of fog. He was created as part of the Kamiumi, an account of the birth of the Shinto gods, in its earlier phase prior to the death of Izanami by Kagutsuchi. He is technically a grandson of Izanagi and Izanami, his parents being the god Ohoyamatsumi, god of mountains, and the goddess Kaya-no-hime. Ohoyamatsumi is also the father of Konohana Sakuya. Kuni-no-sagiri's brother is Ame-no-sagiri. Kuni-no-sagiri's and Ame-no-sagiri's names are also connected to the antecedent mist god Ameyuzuruhi-amenosagiri-kuniyuzuruhi-kuninosagiri-no-mikoto.
Persona 4
In Persona 4, Kunino-sagiri appears at the end of the Heaven dungeon, during the heroes' attempt to rescue Nanako Dojima from the TV world. Kunino-sagiri desired to cover the world in a thick fog and expand the realm of the human mind, exposing Shadows that humans suppress into reality. He strongly believed himself to be the savior of mankind and that he was saving mankind from its suffering and strife. At the end of the Heaven dungeon, Kunino-sagiri appeared and challenged the party to allow them to fight for their beliefs. Despite his strength, he lost to the party, and was slain.
Skills
Kunino-sagiri has the skill Quad Converge which triples the damage of one random element, while reducing the effectiveness of the other three elements by one third. It also has the skill Control, which allows it to control one or more party members and turn them against the player temporarily. His other skills incluide: Maragidyne, Mabufudyne, Maziodyne, Magarudyne, Unerring Justice, Life Drain, Spirit Drain, Gods Judgement, Tetra Break, Makara Break, Dekaja, and Dekunda.
