Not the collection MK fans have been waiting for 2

I'm a pretty huge Mortal Kombat fan, it doesn't take much to please me. I got at least some enjoyment out of every fighting game the MK name has ever been on. The notion of getting the first three MK arcade games for 10 bucks seems fantastic on the surface.Unfortunately, this collection appears to be a very sloppy effort on the part of WB / Netherrealm / Other Ocean. Audio glitches abound. In MK2, some music will literally pause for half a second when looping or switching to another part - watch...

Mortal Blowchunks 0

Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection is another throw-back to gaming of the 90s. Love it or hate it, this game caused more eyebrows to raise than the Lewinsky sex scandal. It was ultra violent, kids were playing it (and turned out just fine), and blood was spilled everywhere. But after nearly 15 years, are the games even any good anymore?Included in this bundle is Mortal Kombat,Mortal Kombat II, and Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. Truly, these aren’t fighting games that hold quality like Super Street Fight...

Even Kollections Get Rushed Out... 0

The Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection needs no introduction. It contains the first three games of the franchise with Ultimate Mortal Kombat III filling in the third spot for ten dollars or 800 Microsoft Points. The first game was never released as a download on the current generation of consoles as the other two have been out before, but disappeared from the services because of Midway going under. Original plans for this "kollection" were full fledged HD remakes of these games with new graphics an...

If you can go past the disgusting single player difficulty, these are still awesome. 0

What you get from this collection is simply the first three games ported to recent generation hardware and put together. We all know them well, all great games that might appear better in our nostalgic mind than what they really are today. As fighting games they're simple but effective; as single player game they're disastrous; as multiplayer online it's pretty cool, though not so hot as it used to be.They play like they played in the old days, with MK1 being the simplest of the three, MK2 the ...

Save Your Pennies 0

Save Your Pennies: Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection ReviewMortal Kombat fans have been waiting years to see the original trilogy released on the current generation of systems. They may want to hold their breaths a little while longer, though. The recently released Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection has got some major baggage.Earlier this Spring, I got my first up-close look at the recent Mortal Kombat reboot. The game had a large presence at PAX East 2011, including a huge logo banner hung from the ...
