The 4 kombantants are revealed. I don't exactly know how well the DLC sales went for the current roster upgrade, but if they had enough success with it than they might forgo a sequel to do another round of 4 characters. There certainly are enough people bitching about the online compatibility that it seems popular. I wanted to know what peoples predictions were if another 4 were even possible. I personally think they could do another one with Cyber-Smoke, Shinnok, Fujin, and Jason. Extra programming work? Piece of cake.

If they do another 4 characters who should they be?
I don't think they confirmed doing more dlc officially yet?
But I want Tanya, Reiko, Havik, Shinnok (would say Fujin instead of Shinnok, but Boon keeps saying no to Fujin)
I don't think they confirmed doing more dlc officially yet?On the contrary, they confirmed in the Freddy press release that they are not doing any more characters.

@xhavoc86 said:Do you have a link? Boon said on his Twitter a couple days ago that they had only planned to do 4 DLC characters but they sold well so theres a chance they will do more.I don't think they confirmed doing more dlc officially yet?On the contrary, they confirmed in the Freddy press release that they are not doing any more characters.
@xhavoc86: @Atramentous: I'm having issues finding an official press release now, but I do remember words like "final" being thrown around.Well you said final characters, so that means they might add fatalities/stages/alternate costumes still right? or final final? lol
There should be another Klassics pack at some point at the least. After all, its called Pack 1.@SoldierG654342 said:

I always thought Wolverine would fit into Mortal Kombat pretty well. As long as Capcom doesn't have some kind of deal in place to prevent that, which seems unlikely

I think it makes more sense for DLC that you add characters that are fun, but story irrelevant. Save important story people for the sequel .

Its very likely that Disney would have a problem with Wolverine being in such a violent game and being in a game published by the owners of DC comics. Consider how touchy WB was about DC characters in MK vs DC. "Brutalities" and shit to 'protect' the portrayals of the heroes. Multiply that by 10 and you have Disney.I always thought Wolverine would fit into Mortal Kombat pretty well. After the fourth charactor being freddy all bets are off! more characters could literally be anybody from anywhere

Jason, mostly because I'm *loving* watching people act like the world has ended because of Freddy's inclusion.
I don't think it's unreasonable to be upset when they start skipping over actual characters from the franchise and start adding in silly guest characters.
Why is it okay to hate Soulcalibur for adding Yoda, but it's fine when MK adds someone like this? The tone matches slightly more, but he still has no place in the universe and it only sets a precedent for more of this sort of thing in a sequel. I'm not as annoyed about Freddy being in, as much as I am over the fact the sequel is now likely going to be "Mortal Kombat vs generic horror movie guys".

Not that I think Disney/Marvel would allow this sort of thing anyway.. but I'm not sure why Disney have such a bad rep when it comes to this sort of thing, they tend to be very flexible with their properties. Obviously they're not going to let Mickey Mouse be in a game where he kills people, but Marvel hasn't changed a bit since the take over, they're just an umbrella company. They also release a lot of mature movies under the Touchstone banner. If there ever was an MK vs Marvel game, it wouldn't be any worse than what we saw with DC.
Im aware Disney produced Showgirls and all sorts of hard R movies under various banners, Miramax etc. And they have a history of collaboration, hell the last time WB and Disney collaborated it saved the company (Roger Rabbit). I just don't see modern Disney wanting to attach itself to a property that's attracted a good amount of negative press for its violence. I could see Disney being willing to work a deal with WB for a Teen rated DC vs Marvel type thing, absolutely. But working out a deal with Disney just to include a small handful of DLC characters would probably seem like a waste of resources. If you can work out that deal and get WB/DC and Disney/Marvell collaborating again, you wanna shoot for the moon. Maybe a high budget RPG or something.
